Now, onto the food - the heart and soul of Flanagan's. I embarked on this gastronomic journey with the Mahi Mahi fish tacos, which tasted so fresh that I half expected them to flop off my plate. They were accompanied by a side of black beans and rice that worked in perfect harmony to enhance the overall flavor.

Across the table, my dining companion was engrossed in a battle of epic proportions with a full rack of ribs. And these were no ordinary ribs, mind you. These were the Herculean heroes of the meat world, boasting a size and a taste that'd impress even the pickiest of carnivores. The ribs were so good, my companion couldn't resist ordering a side of wings, each one infused with a rich flavor that hit the spot just right.

Despite the hearty servings, we just couldn't bring ourselves to stop eating. By the end of the meal, we were so delightfully stuffed, we could've easily mistaken ourselves for Thanksgiving turkeys.

First I must say that I do NOT work here, but I AM speaking up for someone who was completely mistreated, and put through 3 weeks of hell, basically just being used as an extra set of hands at minimum wage for 3 weeks, then let go since they found new, white servers to replace him! This place treats their Spanish staff like absolute s**t! Convenient since he was forced as a trainee to take seasoned server's tables who didn't understand english! Don't fall for their 2wk training program that's supposed to help you learn everything either, cuz his trainer did nothing but send him home every day with a blank test, expecting him to spend every second of his time off-the-clock to "study" by finding the answers within their outdated 100+ page training manual that she was supposed to go over with him step-by-step, only to have him go back every day and just re-take the same exact test again, without any knowledge of whether or not he got the answers right on the blank test she sent him home with. She did NOT follow the company's very specific training protocol, nor did she EVER sit down with him to go over the topics of each training day, as stated numerous times in the manual. They'll take advantage of paying you minimum wage, while forcing you to take full sections for their servers and hand right over the hundreds of dollars in tips you made for them each day/night, without helping or even following company guidelines. No wonder they are so understaffed...it's their own doing! The simple fact that the General Manager could have the audacity to allow things like this to happen in her restaurant speaks a great deal on the way things...

I don't think I have ever posted a negative review about a restaurant. But I had a terrible experience at Flanigans of Stuart this evening. Very soon after taking a seat at the bar I was met by a bartender. This person very early was complaining about St. Patrick's day saying that all bartenders no matter how much money they make just deal with it and not worth it. What??? Then told a regular seemingly proud of it, he almost jumped over the bar at a patron that night of St Paddy's Day. OK maybe having a bad day. The shrimp and gumbo were tasty. I decided to order a 1/2 order of wings. A younger guy, I guess the food runner set the wings down in front of the person I was sitting next to. I was speaking with someone else. Then the other order came out and clearly not mine. The bartender said well... You should have known what you ordered. I asked him, did you really just say that? He replied yup. Wow. So I said cancel my order clearly getting attitude. Then after paying my bill some manager came over and said... I understand you are giving the bartender a hard time? WTH? Are you kidding me? He said no. I explained the situation and politely left. I haven't experienced this level of disrespect in I can't remember when. I am friends with people who know the family who owns Flanigans. Apparently terrific people, great with the community, etc. If this is how the on staff management allows their employees to treat customers? Wow. I won't return for sure. And this bartender has worked their for over a decade?...
