UPDATE - went back again today August 28, 2021 6 of 6 guests agreed the Salmon was delicious today! If you haven't been to Sakura yet, please give it a try. They even have fries now!@ I have been going to Sakura for a couple of years now and realized I had never sung their praises. I meet with family about 1 time per month for a lunch and Sakura was mentioned. We now meet 95% of the time at Sakura! This is a family run operation and it shows. The staff is friendly and very laid back. But don't take that as they are not attentive and efficient. The fist picture is out favorite waitress! Jenny is always with a smile (although you can't see it with the mask on LOL). She will make sure you have what you need but is never intrusive. The food is delicious! And at a fair price. Mixed in with the traditional Asian Buffet standards of General Tso and ginger chicken; rice or noodles with vegetables; ice cream are Fish, Chicken sticks, limited sushi, potatoes, salad, fruit and raw vegetables. I am sure they have a list on their website. We all find plenty of things we like to eat. For some reason I thought I took more pictures but there are a lot of choices. I hope you ENJOY SAKURA as much as we do. Take out is available. They also have Beer, Wine and Sake! It is conveniently located in a Publix Shopping Center. And it is clean PS we drive in from Vero Beach, Port St. Lucie and West Palm Beach to eat at Sakura in Stuart FL. Let Jenny know you saw her picture on Google Reviews!

Arrived at 6:30 place was almost empty and since I was new in area I decided to try it out. When I walked in the male host or order taker at front was on phone with speaker phone really loud and I didn't pay him no mind at first , but he continued to walk around the area where I was sitting still talking on phone with speaker on picking up dishes from the tables. As I ate my meal as I was still finishing my dessert and I had paid he approached the table again with that speaker phone loud aty table like he was trying for me to leave. On top of the fact that the food was not the best, the egg drop soup was too oily and hardly no eggs and I thought no big deal eggs are expensive😭 . Then as got my dessert I grabbed some Napoleon cake and it was hard as rock. I politely ask to see manager and he said he was đŸ€ŁđŸ˜ and I told him I was going back. I even left a good tip so they remember me.

Had a terrible dining experience there Wednesday night. Went for dinner and own told us restaurant was open until 8:30 , but at 7:50 began sweeping floor in area we and others were still eating , causing a couple that came in after us to just get up and leave without paying. We tried to enjoy our dinner , his young son and another employee started removing shrimp , mussels & other dishes from on top of the ice area & began noisely scooping up the ice into grey bins with were then piled on top of each other without any plastic covers , presumably to be used again the next day. I believe this is a health code violation , and was rude as hell since several of us were still eating. I doubt we would go back after watching all this since I can only imagine what other violations he's doing with the leftover food. My advice is watch restaurant reviews to see if they get shutdown in the future !

UPDATE: So me and my fiancé just left after coming in for the oysters to see if this place had changed at all. Nope. It got much worse than the last time. My fiancé called and asked if there were oysters out before we came in. They were short and said yeah. So we came in and the oysters that were out had no meat in them. The short server in the pink kimono was extremely rude and short with us. We had accidently sat down in the booth next to us that was unoccupied and when she came over to tell us so, she rushed us back to our seats and said hello to me sarcastically as in "hello? Move now" type of way. I told my fiancé to just say something to someone and maybe they would fix the issue with the seafood. Mind you this place is almost dead and it's Monday the 26th of September at 7:30 currently. There was little to no sushi out as well which honestly isn't even worth the $16 we had to pay for small plate I consumed reluctantly. We left in under 20 minutes of walking in. The server even yelled at us in front of people demanding we pay for the soda right then and there to which I replied "we're paying upfront". While my fiancé was talking to the manager who was very polite about the situation and offered us our own tray which we declined, the rest of the staff was very rude and the server has to be the rudest woman I have ever been waited on by. Save your money and just order take out. Also their children were running around loudly which didn't help anything. I understand being a family owned establishment but it's very obnoxious and unprofessional to let your kids run in and out of the tables.

When I first started going here, it was awesome. The food was hot and the sushi was awesome. But over the past few months they have gotten a lot worse. I called once to ask if their food was fresh and hot as the time before it wasn't and I got sick after pulling the plug on my grandmother in law. Perfect ending to a great day right? They said yes. Take a look around and it appeared to be steaming but when my mom and I got our food and sat down.........it was cold. The sushi was warm as well. Tonight I went in before 9:30 and when we walked in...........they were putting the food away and the sushi was gone as well.........it was an hour before closing and they were already putting away food with an open sign out front. We just walked back out. I have no desire to ever come back to this place any time soon. Not to mention the staff is very rude and sneaky. Talking in another language while looking at you and practically pointing. I never feel welcomed anymore. The one lady called me beautiful but this was after I asked about the freshness of the food.It was very clearly insincere. I'm sorry but that is no excuse for terrible food and service. It's a real shame this place has gone so down hill. Mikita by the mall in jensen is currently the best i have been to. Huge selection and nice service. Also you have to pay for whatever sushi you don't eat on your plate. I have never ever experienced such a stingy policy. If you can't afford to have an all you can eat sushi bar......don't have one. I understand people waste food sometimes at a sushi bar but don't sit there and charge for what you can't finish. Why not offer it to go for a reasonable price? I mean really? I might try it this weekend to see how it is on a weekend but if I get the same service and food quality as I have been lately......I will be giving up and searching for better food in a new town. If it is better due to a bigger crowd.....it will become a weekend type treat for myself I will change my review and outlook...

My family have been coming here since this location opened, and it was always a good experience, so we were shocked when all 8 of us went there for a family dinner together a few weeks ago (March 7th) and had such a bad experience.

The place was strangely empty, so the bad experience wasn't due to them being overwhelmed by a full house or anything, yet I stood at the hibachi grill for almost 10 minutes before a man finally came out from the kitchen (this was after someone in the kitchen peeked out at me twice, and I asked 2 different servers that ignored me as they walked by). When he finally did come out, he was unbelievably rude, didn't say hello or greet me in any way, in fact he just stood there looking OVER my head as though I was invisible until I was forced to ask him if I could have beef and vegetables please! He grunted and started making it. When the steak was done to my liking, I told him that was perfect to which he replied loudly, “TWO MORE MINUTES!”. So I guess HE gets to decide how well done I like my steak? I was so pissed off by that point that I refused to eat it.

And that wasn’t even the worst of it. While this was going on, I noticed that my brother was waiting for something. He said that he went into the Men’s room as one of the sushi chefs was leaving it WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS because there was NO paper towels OR soap in there! The chef proceeded to the sushi station and resumed preparing sushi for the buffet!!!! My brother notified a server and was waiting for paper towels & soap to be delivered before going into the restroom himself. He waited for this to happen for as long as I was waiting for the hibachi chef to show up (over 10 minutes!).

After these 2 incidents, I decided to eat only noodles and vegetables as I was afraid to eat anything that the chefs might’ve touched with their bare hands after NOT washing their hands after being in the bathroom. I asked for a manager and was told that the “boss” was out of the country for a month, then I was rudely asked why I was asking. When I explained, she very sarcastically said, “Well, there’s soap in the bathroom NOW!”.

Before we left, a woman with a dish towel over her shoulder came up to me at our table claiming that she was the manager and asked if there was something I’d like to discuss with her. I was so infuriated by that point that I didn’t want to make a scene in front of my family, so I told her that it wasn’t worth going into, but that we would NEVER come back even though we have been regular customers for almost 2 years now.

I don't know what's happening there, but the employees (especially the men) all seem very unhappy and surly, which makes for an extremely unpleasant dining experience. Such a shame too because in the past, we ALWAYS looked forward to going there! If I could've given them a "0" star...

I have to start saying that I have visited this place several times. Compared to other similar choices in the nearby area it was decent. There food is well present it, great taste, good choices and decent sushi variety for a buffet restaurant. Up until today I would have rated this place as a 4.5 stars. But today our experience surpasses all possible forgiveness. My husband and sons went to use the restroom facilities during our visit. As they were existing the restroom they witness one of the kitchen staff exiting the restroom without washing his hands, yuck đŸ€ą. My husband approached a staff member and asked for the manager. He was told there was NO manager or person in charge in the facility. He explained the employee his concern and the employee just started to speak with the kitchen employee in their language in front of my husband. The employee taking the concern from my husband stated the kitchen employee did wash his hands and pointed to the signs stating “employee must wash their hands before returning to work”. My husband was polite enough to tell this lady; ma’am we all walked out and he didn’t open the foset or use any paper. I’m only letting you know so you can address it with your staff as this is a very serious requirement practice for a restaurant. The lady said: No worries sir you are nice, you are very nice. But he did wash his hands, our signs says he wash before he return 😳😳😳. Needless to say he came back to the table told me what happened and we decided to leave. We paid for or bill and left. We will not return and we will not recommend anyone visiting this place unless you have no problem eating food from employees that have no issue using the bathroom and then cooking with their dirty hands the food you will consume. The thought of it makes me sick. What a shame this place used to be one top choice for our family.

PS: yes the 12 years old girl is still running the register. Wonder how is that okay with labor Dept rules. But that is anoth topic. Guess no one else is...
