Good day to all you restaurant goers out there. If I may make a brief point before my review of Piatto Divino. I and I'm sure you all are painfully aware that no restaurant sets a goal to give you the worst guest experience. If I may suggest something please. I have yet to write a bad review on a restaurant and dread the day that I do. BUT, When I have a bad experience I do kindly ask for the manager on duty (MOD) and without making a scene I share my dinning experience with them and make a few points with my emotions in check. I have yet to have push back on any of my conversations with the MOD and I tell them it is my intention to come back and retry my dinning experience with them at some point in the future. This has typically gone over well with all my encounters and it has worked every time. My 2nd visit usually goes off without a problem and I have a great experience. I hope this helps and every Restaurateur wants to hear from you good or bad so they can improve. RIGHT? Help them out be reasonable and understanding. NOT confrontational....That will go nowhere fast. I mention this not because I had a bad experience here. I absolutely have not. I was looking at other reviews at other places and that was something that stood out to me and I felt that I needed to say something about giving a restaurant a bad review right off the bat. That is all. OK, On with my review..... I usually have my Rib eye but that was not on the menu here. So I picked a dish that seemed interesting to me. I started with a nice Caesar Salad and then the main course. That was the Rollatini Di Pollo. The Chicken was tender and juicy and the imported Italian Ham gave it a tweak to the chicken flavor. The Asparagus was cooked to just a light crisp crunch when you bit into theme. I also notice my neighbor had an interesting dish as well but I didn't catch the name of it. I had also ordered a glass of Moscato D'asti, Podere di Chiara, Bianco Mio, Piemonte with the meal too. Once I was done with my meal I noticed a couple over in the far corner that had ordered a dish that need to be prepared in a Cheese Wheel. I did not catch the name of the dish. They gave me a taste of it and OMG was it ever creamy with fresh very course black pepper corns ground. It...
Read moreNeapolitan Pizza on the Treasure Coast, finally!
Neapolitan pizza is all about the crust, thin with a plump doughy edge and lots of leoparding from the high heat oven being used.
We’ve been driving to West Palm to get our Neapolitan pizza fix but, no longer. Pane e Vino has changed our lives…at least our driving requirements.
It’s the first true Neapolitan style pizza on the Treasure Coast. I must give props to South Fork K & B for their very close but not quite offering (it’s pretty good but, only one topping/sauce option).
Depending on the map you look at, northern Jupiter skirts the southern edge of the Treasure Coast. That said, Lynora’s Jupiter needs to be acknowledged, too as they prepare Neapolitan style as well. We have been twice for pizza. The first time, not bad. The second time, not great. Lynora’s sister restaurants in West Palm, specifically Lynora’s Kitchen, in the converted gas station, is awesome. Hopefully, the Lynora’s coming to Palm City/Stuart will be on par with their southern sisters.
Pane e Vino, I put your pizza in the company Lynora’s Kitchen in West Palm and our former go to, Elisabetta’s, which is high praise from this reviewer.
If you are in the Stuart area and like pizza that tastes like a bakery made it, give Pane e Vino a try. You may be pleased you...
Read moreThis was our first time visiting the Pane e Vino. The restaurant was crowded but there was little to no wait and they appeared to have sufficient staff. We were provided menus and water in short order. We each ordered a drink and our meals at the same time, one appetizer and two entrees.. My husbands appetizer came shortly after which he enjoyed.
Things went down from there. We waited over 20 minutes for the entrees. I ordered a fish dish, he ordered the chop. When my husband cut into his chop it was raw. He ordered it medium. It took almost 10 minutes for him to flag an employee to have the dish taken back. I finished my meal so we told an employee to cancel his dish and bring the check. Shortly after a manager appeared with the dish and said it had been prepared how it was ordered. We told him we were finished eating. The manager offered to wrap the chop up as a take out (the chop with tax and tip would have been $70 so no thank you for the take out offer), We explained we had a show to catch. The check was brought over. The 2 drinks, one appetizer, one entree, tax and tip totaled $160. There was no apology for the raw chop. We will not...
