Freakin' Sweets — Restaurant in Sturgis

This place blew my expectations out of the water. We were staying near by for the weekend, so I looked up best breakfast places nearby so we decided to try it. We got there around 9 on a Sunday and there were only a couple of each left, which was fine with us because we got 12 different doughnuts to share. My favorite doughnut is a white longjohn with white creme filling and the person working (Im assuming the owner) made it fresh. I don't want to use curse words here, but I want to emphasize that it was the best long john ive ever had. The dough is just the right mix of fluffy yet heavy. Even 12 hours later, we didn't have to microwave them at all to soften them up. This will for sure be a staple of all our trips to Sturgis/Lagrange going forward and I recommend it to anyone looking for breakfast (or ice cream)...

I have been so excited to try this place out, so took my DIL for her birthday! 4 adults, one toddler. A lady was thete with her child crawling on floor playing. I told her 1st visit for all of us. Got passed off to the git behind counter. We had NO IDEA what their menu was even saying!! No suggestions, no one helped us figure out menu. Ended up with 2 scoops, and birthday girl had shake. I am soooo disappointed 😞 Sure nothing to get excited about unless there's a method to their madness. Waited all summer to go and could've gotten better at flipping dairy queen. Living local, they won't have our business. Also when leaving asked for caramel apples that we saw on sign, nope...

The worker gave us old hard ice cream. Charged me for stuff they didn’t even have and then was trying to make me choose a different flavor of ice cream after I asked for a refund. She claimed they couldn’t do refunds until the boss came in to do it however once I asked her why she would charge me before making sure they had what I asked for she said so people don’t run away with shakes or ice cream before charging. She kept hitting her head when scooping ice cream and looking at her Apple Watch instead of paying attention. Will not be going back for ice cream. Terrible customer...
