My Co-worker and I stopped in our lunch break and was excited that there wasn't busy. Co worker ordered his food and was expeditiously served his meal. I shortly ordered an 8 piece, fries and large Drink. If I could tell you that the amount of time which elapsed as I awaited for the completion of my order and lack there of customer service. When I ordered my Take out order the midday news just came on.
My wait for the order which never came lasted all the way through the hour long News segment. I observed orders that came in on the phone and in person after me and was completed. With no notification from staff or mgmt that there would be an extremely long wait time. I had another patron of the establishment literally ask me how long I had been waiting?
Which I waited for an extra few minutes to no chagrin no notification by anyone on staff of my wait time. That I eventually had to motion for the update on my take out order. Which was told it would be another 3 minutes. I told them I had to go which then I was refunded my money with poor customer service and no offer of a discount or explanation of delay. To make matters worse was the fact that you specialize in chicken and you not have that readily available is mind boggling...
Read moreFood is almost always good in Feather n Fin. That's why I eat at the various locations frequently. This morning I was working in Suffolk so thought about the Washington location. Looked at my clock, seen it was only 940. But the google listing said the restaurant was open 24 hrs, which I knew couldn't be right. Decided to ride pass. Seen the "Open" light was lit up. Didn't want to look foolish so I called. A woman answered the phone. I asked if they were open. She respond "no we are not open". I said okay and asked what time they opened. She said, "Its a sign out there! It says we open at ten o'clock"
Needless to go into the specific inappropriateness of this particular worker. I'll just say most of these small African American establishments are 5 star places with great food. The employees and their lack of customer service and people skills will bring them down every time.
One other reviewer said how FnF's chicken fillet is so much better than Chic fil a. Does it matter if you can't stand the taste of the person...
Read moreI ordered a fish sandwich online, for delivery. My wife got the shrimp and fries. The shrimp was good, but there were only a few. The meal was mostly french fries. The fries were ok. The hush puppies were really bland. The fish sandwich was big. For $8, it was actually pretty huge. I ordered it with hot sauce and got none. The only other sauce options were honey mustard or barbecue (who does that?), no tartar sauce or anything you would actually want on a fish sandwich.
That being said, the fish sandwich WAS tasty until I got a mouthful of bones halfway through. One or two bones is to be expected in a piece of fish. It's near impossible to get them all but it felt like that fillet hadn't been deboned at all. I split out 10 bones and inadvertently ended up swallowing a couple that got stuck in my throat. But for that experience, this would be a four star rating.
Quality control is important. Also, loose the barbecue sauce and offer something that actually...
