If you're craving delicious food, indulgent desserts, and a place to truly unwind, Gourmet Burger Bistro is exactly where you need to stop in.
Gourmet Burger Bistro gives you a dining experience that effortlessly blends gourmet flavors, an inviting atmosphere, and thoughtful service. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance struck a perfect balance—sophisticated enough for date night or a laid-back evening with friends, yet completely welcoming for families with kids. A rare and refreshing combination.
We were warmly greeted by Black, whose hospitality immediately stood out. Not only did he take the time to walk us through the menu, but his genuine enthusiasm for the food made us even more excited about tasting the food. That personal touch set the tone for what turned out to be a truly standout meal.
Let’s talk about the Sticky Wings—coated in a sauce that’s nothing short of impeccable. It’s rich, tangy, and carries just a whisper of smokiness that lingers beautifully after each bite. The same can be said for the fries, which aren’t just a side dish here; they’re a main attraction in their own right. Crisp, golden, and kissed with that same subtle smoky flavor, they’re dangerously addictive. The Sweet Potatoes fries will have you coming back for more!
Then came the Major Way Burger, and it did not disappoint. Nestled in a pillow-soft bun, the burger bursts with flavor in every bite—juicy, bold, and layered with depth. It’s not your average burger; it’s an experience. One that makes you stop mid-sentence just to savor what’s happening in your mouth. Of course I ordered another one to go! 😉
From first impressions to the last bite of dessert, Gourmet Bistro Burger delivers on every level. It’s a place where the food is thoughtful and inspired, the staff treats you like family, and the vibe invites you to stay a little longer.
Come on by and bring some friends for delicious food...
Read moreAlright let me start off by saying I love supporting privately owned businesses. If you love it the same, then this is definitely the spot you want to be. I happen to come across this place while visiting my sister and I DON'T regret it. This is what I know about business, it is very essential to make a FIRST good impression, as a bad one is hard to redeem yourself from. My lady and I walked in and were first greeted by the cashier who insisted we take a look around and make ourselves comfortable. We next met the owner, Major, who was a very pleasant individual. He interviewed us with interest and did a great job building a positive rapport. Most places are family establishments, but when they also make you feel like family, that's everything! Our server was energetic, upbeat, and a very comedic individual. Basically, he was being himself and that's something I definitely respect. The place has seating both indoor and outdoor. The establishment was very clean. The food came out quickly. They serve fresh squeeze juices which is a plus for me. The food was beyond on point. We had fried fish, shrimp, fries, jasmine rice with chicken, etc. With some type of special sauce that was the staple for the meal. EVERYTHING cooked to perfection! What got me was the corn poppers which I had never had until visiting this place. THOSE JOINTS WERE CRAZY‼ I thoroughly enjoyed this place from start to finish and we will be coming back asap. We've already planned our next trip back just because of this place and one other spot that serves breakfast. Thank you for making a lasting first impression, for giving us a go to spot, and for making us feel welcome. This...
Read moreUnfortunately I can't give a good and accurate review of this establishment as we were asked to leave since my wife and I both have service dogs. The first employee we talked to said the state health inspector told them no service animals were allowed due to the open kitchen. The kitchen is completely separate from the dining area. We remained in line to order our food and a second employee came over to us and said basically the same thing. I informed him of both the federal and state laws on service animals and asked him to call the authorities if he wanted. He then back stepped and said we could stay but we would have to eat in a closed off section as people have complained about service animals in the past, this area was next to the open kitchen and looked less then clean. My wife and I left at this time not feeling good about the quality of the food we would have received. This is the first time we have had a problem with our service dogs, we have dined in all seven cities in the tidewater area, covering the full spectrum of dining from breakfast and sandwich shops, to pizzerias all the way to fine dining establishments with never a complaint. Most of the time we are complemented on how well behaved they were. Which I found odd since all service animals are trained to be unobtrusive and well behaved before being trained to the specific disability they...
