We walked in at about 7 PM and were promptly greeted and ushered in by the hostess. The professionalism just blew us away right at this juncture: the staff was so friendly, attentive, and very efficient. The restaurant itself does maintain a clean, modern vibe, which seemed both casual and welcoming.

We started with a few appetizers. The clear winner had to be the Takoyaki: crispy exterior, melt-in-your-mouth soft interior, and an explosion of flavors. The Chicken Karaage had just the right amount of seasoning (not too salty, which is always an added advantage), while the Ika Sugatayaki, lightly drizzled with teriyaki sauce, was simply tender-no rubbery squid here! The Miso soup was everything we wished for, and the ginger and miso salad turned out just as they should.

For my main course, I had Sushi Combo B. It arrived beautifully presented, fresh, and tasty. However, it missed a couple of pieces compared to the picture on the menu-the Ikura and Shrimp sushi were not provided. One more person in our party had the Tonkotsu Ramen, The broth was perfectly balanced and not too salty, and the noodles were cooked well enough. Someone else had the Pork Katsu Bao, which was a true showstopper-tender, flavorful pork, and steamed bao buns just right. Another ordered the Chiraishi and said it was solid, with a nice selection of sashimi and the rice nicely seasoned unlike some other places. I'm a giant fan of Ikura, so I ordered some separately-the texture was a little more slimy than I'm used to, but not bad.

For surprise we were presented with complimentary mango layer cake. Wow! Light and airy, just what a layer cake should be, the syrup made just sweet enough. Quite frankly, the most pleasant way to send off the night.

Everything, you know-good food, excellent service, and the ambience felt surprisingly chill, especially for a place with such amazing food. This place is such a hidden gem-more people need to know about it!

Soft opening 30% off is awesome! Although the specialty roll prices are pretty steep, probably wouldn’t get it at regular price

Chirashi lunch is a great deal with lots of fish. They put a spicy garlic sauce on one of the white fish, it was not that spicy and actually tastes really good although it ruined the fish (real sushi eaters want to taste the fish, not the sauce), suggest to put the sauce on the side, it would probably go well with a hot dish instead of on the fish.

Nemo roll is pretty good, it’s a good deal for the maki lunch specials

Spring rolls didn’t have any meat, flavor is bland, very oily, would not order again

Shrimp tempura was not bad, could fry it a little longer for the crunch

Miso soup didn’t have miso flavor

We also ordered sashimi on the side, it’s pretty thin but it was wide. The sashimi pieces were also not sliced proportionally, some were super thin and others were thin. The sushi rolls were not wrapped properly (kept breaking apart when we pick it up). The sushi chef may need more practice 😅😅

Lastly, the spider roll was soggy, may need to wrap that last to keep the crunch on the soft shell crab

I would probably go back for the chirashi lunch and to try the soft shell crab bao (not the other bao since they’re so pricey compared to other places...

I just ate here with my best friend for her birthday and I am SO GLAD we had chosen this place. They were so welcoming when we arrived, seated quickly, and served extremely fast! Our server, Ivy, was absolutely wonderful and so patient as we were just talking up a storm and hadn’t quite decided what we were wanting yet! She checked on us often and I was very appreciative of her attentiveness. They all seem to have a nice groove and work well as a team. Typically within months of opening, restaurants are still trying to work out the kinks and that was not at all what we experienced. You wouldn’t think this place had just opened a month ago. The manager was walking around and very tentative to the tables. That is how you manage a restaurant. Now the food—we had ordered the steam buns as an appetizer and they were SO GOOD!! We ordered a bunch of rolls but the Scorpian roll topped every single roll we had! That was the most delicious roll I had ever eaten. At the end of our meals, Ivy brought out a dessert for my friend for her birthday! What a nice surprise! I am more than satisfied and will definitely be coming back. My next visit I will have to try the ramen but I just am so in love with their rolls!

Thank you for a wonderful ambiance and...

So good! Consistently great food, with a large selection. Even if you don’t like ramen or sushi, they have ‘safer options’ like fried rice and hibachi. We had the spicy miso ramen and the spicy Thai shrimp ramen. Nice portions, well-cooked pork and shrimp (respectively). We also had the shaggy dog roll (we’re not big on raw sushi) and it was cooked well and tasted great. We ordered green tea which came with cute little cups and a beautiful cast-iron tea pot. It was delicious and warm (it was also unsweetened but that was fine for my party as we are tea lovers). There’s also a large alcohol menu with classics like red and white wine and Japanese and Korean sakes, soju, and wine. We tried the flavored Hana sakes (Fuji Apple for me and White Peach for my mom) which were $10 each of the bottle. I preferred the Fuji Apple and my mom preferred the White Peach. The decor was really nice and festive! Before we left I think we spoke with the manager, and she was so sweet and asked us for feedback. The food was great, the music was great (K-Pop hits), the drinks were great, and the service was great. I honestly can’t wait to go back.
