Starbucks — Restaurant in Sugarcreek Township

I love coffee, and I've fallen in love with the Starbucks location on Wilmington Pike. Nearly every day, I'll stop at this location for a coffee on my way home from work, and whether it's in the Drive Thru or Cafe, I always have a great experience. There are several amazing personalities that make this store the absolute best, I've never seen such an incredible team at such a modest location (you wouldn't expect this quality from a chain!).

Since I typically go in the same time of day in the evenings, I often have the same person assisting me. Maggie does a fantastic job each and every single time, you can tell that she is passionate about her job and loves her customers. Her recommendations for new drinks to try are always spot on as well! It's awesome to go into a place later in the evening, and be greeted with a radiant personality like it's still the beginning of the day (She informed me that she was recently promoted and it's surely well deserved!). I've also seen her, and her team, handle customer complaints, and regardless of how outlandish they are, she has always offered an exemplary solution with a smile!

This location sets the highest standard of quality. When I go to other locations, no insult to them, but they seem sub-par compared to Wilmington Pike. As long as this location continues what it has always done for me, there will never be any other...

I perused some prior reviews and normally don't make comments but HAD to today. Today was the power outage 9/28/24. For over THREE HOURS this place had anywhere between 40-55 people in it. This is not a big place. I came because I had to no power at home to do my work. The staff handled it like absolute champs. The lady with brown hair and middle-aged at the register was efficient, professional, and stepped in to help with drinks if the rare moment presented. The entire working staff moved phenomenally quickly, even though wait times reached up to 30 minutes. With the number of drive-through orders, in-person orders, and delivery/pick up orders I can't believe they pulled it off. Unreal. I have to say, objectively, that my drink was a bit bitter and the cold foam was subpar, but overall acceptable, especially with the circumstances. People who complain with prior reviews likely just don't understand what these employees have to go through with the now-nationally-known issues the Company has, with so many moving parts with their drinks being a potential downfall. HOWEVER, the staff, in the face of all this, did mind-blowingly well. This staff also lets me enjoy my kids here sometimes and they are friendly and courteous. Well-freaking done, everyone. The first strike against this Starbucks was being out of avocado at noon. The second strike was issues with the wifi.

What made up for both of these things was the music, my god. I usually dislike when coffee shops play energetic music instead of something atmospheric/acoustive/jazzy/generally conducive to getting work done, but the energetic music played by THIS Starbucks was by the likes of Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Mary J. Blige...EVEN A TRIBE CALLED QUEST!! Whoever "had the aux" had some serious taste and I hope they have that honor every time they work.
