I’ve been here multiple times and the food is pretty solid but quality can change depending on day and what you order. I ordered a combo meal with a fish taco, shredded beef taco, and flautas. Everything was really good but I really loved the rice and beans! The margaritas are also good here.
The second time we came with a large group on taco Tuesday. It was busy and we had to wait about 30+ minutes for our food. This is where the quality and service went down. The all you can eat tacos were cold and didn’t have much flavor. The birria tacos were disappointing it didn’t even taste like birria but the other person who ordered the carne asada plate had a hot plate and everything was good. Additionally someone ordered the appetizer platter and that tasted the best out of everything. Our waitress didn’t check in with us, we ran low on drinks, never had an opportunity for another round of tacos, and by the time she came back everyone was done eating so I couldn’t order another margarita. We then waited for over 10 minutes for her to bring us the check and ended up going up to the person taking down the waiting list and paying with her because our waitress never came back. Other people who had been eating before us were also waiting for a long time for service and also never got to have another round of all you can eat tacos because their waitress took so long. If you’re unable to keep up service and actually provide bottomless tacos that are hot and fresh remove them from the menu so people aren’t disappointed.
If I didn’t have the first good experience i probably wouldn’t come back here but since I did I think I would come back, not on a Tuesday. I highly recommend making a reservation if possible or sending someone in ahead of time to put your name down on the waitlist if you have a group...
Read moreThis Establishment is terrible for military and groups because of their customer service. We had a going-away with 12 people and 2 kids. When I arrived, I told the waitress I was ordering my chimmichunga to go because I had to leave ASAP. I'm the last person to get my food which was fine because I was the last to arrive. As she hands me my food in a to-go, I hand her my card so I can pay and leave. She dismisses me saying "we don't separate tickets" and abruptly moves on to the next table. Once we flagged her down again, I explained to her that I don't have time to wait with the group and that's why I ordered mine to-go. She repeated that they don't separate orders. I asked her if she can just cancel the order and then ring me up by myself. She said the system won't let her separate orders. I told her well then just cancel my order because I have to go. She took the food from me and left. It's frustrating, because she knew my order was to go while everyone else was dining in. Additionally, she lied to me. If she was able to cancel an order, there was nothing preventing her from ringing up my order separately after canceling it. It wasn't a system issue it was a customer service issue. My unit has a number of going aways often and as a foodie I am always telling people places to get good food at various prices. I will be sure to tell people about the poor customer service at this establishment and Ensure we never have to deal...
Read moreI called and placed an order to go was told it would take 20 minutes so I waited till 20 had passed and went. when I arrived they had me pay and after I payed they went to go get the food and came back and said it was not ready yet and asked me to wait a moment till it was ready, OK they were busy so I thought it would be fine to wait a few minutes so I wait and about 25 minutes passes till an employees finally notices that I have been sitting there for a while and asked me if I was waiting for a pick up and walks off after I said yes. Nothing for another10 minutes till the Lady who took my money said it's almost ready I thought it was almost ready 35 minutes ago it shouldnt take an hour to make a burrito and a few tacos. When I got home (about a 2 minute drive) I open my food boxes to find cold, soggy, "crunchy" tacos that I grossly over payed for, only redeaming feature was the burrito was pretty good probably because it was still warm thanks to it tinfoil wrap but also to expensive and when I asked for chips after my 35 minute wait I was told it would be an additional charge... For chips... that at most Mexican resturants come complementary with the purchase, like bread or biscuits at other places. please LA cabana fix this problem this is my third time something similar has happened to me. So if your going to eat at this place do yourself a favor and eat there because the service for there to-go customer...
