We went there for Mother's Day and was so disappointed. We won't ever go back. It took forever for us to get our food. The food was so bland as if they didn't use any seasoning; not even the basic salt and pepper. I ordered the Missing Link omelet and it was so bland that I had to add salt, pepper and sour cream just to be able to eat it. The homestyle potatoes that come with it were so bland that I added salt, pepper and tabasco and it was STILL bland. My dad ordered the crab sandwich and found that they canned crab meat (he uses the same crab meat on his nachos so he knows) on a sweet bread. He ordered a side of fries and they seemed like they were the frozen ones you can buy at the grocery store. My mom ordered an omelet and it was also bland but hers had avocado on it so it helped with the taste. However, her homestyle potatoes tasted like fish (so nasty). While my mom was waiting for the restroom she had a clear line of sight of the kitchen and what she saw made her stomach turn. She said that the homestyle potatoes were sitting out (not covered or anything) and one of the cooks that was making a sandwich had wiped his hands (not washed) on a rag that was sitting out before he finished making the sandwich. I question the food that the people on here are saying it was good food because the food we had was so far from good. We were so disappointed that I just spent time writing a long review. THAT'S how disappointed and...
Read moreWe just left the restaurant feeling extremely disappointed after what was supposed to be a joyful day celebrating my kids’ graduation. We were a party of six, and this place has always held a special meaning for me — I worked here six years ago and know many of the staff. That’s why this experience was so upsetting.
When my husband mentioned that the coffee tasted watery, the older Busser Arturo, responded in a very rude and disrespectful manner. His reaction was completely uncalled for. As someone who worked as a server, I know how feedback should be handled. The coffee has never tasted like that before, and instead of simply passing the comment along to the appropriate staff, he chose to answer in a very unprofessional way. He said ( no one complains beside us)
I truly hope this issue is brought to his attention, as this kind of attitude is unacceptable. No customer should be made to feel uncomfortable for sharing honest feedback. Sadly, because of this experience, I don’t feel like I can return and enjoy the food I used to love — not while he is still there.
It’s important that bussers, or any staff, know how to properly handle guest concerns — which is to pass them along to the server or manager, not to respond directly in a confrontational tone.
Thank you for your time, and I hope this message helps improve the experience for...
Read moreCame in around 11am and the place was pretty full but we were seated rather quickly as a table opened up. First server gave us menus and asked us what we wanted to drink. 10 minutes later a different server came to take our order we ordered 2 chicken fried steak breakfasts and then we waited. About 25-30 minutes go by and no one has come back to check on us and so I go up to the register and ask how much longer till we get our food. Lady at the register said a little bit longer because they were so busy, I said but we have been waiting over 20 minutes and no one has even said anything to us. She then says some people have been waiting over 40 minutes for their food. I asked why no one told us the wait was going to 40 plus minutes for food and she said you can see we only have a few people working (which you can not see from table I was at). I asked to just cancel our order and pay for our drinks so we could go and the lady at the register started talking to the server who took our order about it. Now I don't know if the server was yelling at me because it was very loud in there or if she was angry because we wanted to cancel our order but she said no charge for the drinks and to just go. I can't say if they were just bad today or if this is how they always are, all I can say is I'm never...
