Centenario Mexican Grill & Bar, LLC — Restaurant in Sulphur

My (Hispanic family) and I placed a to go order and went to pick it up. We waited by the front and were first in line for a few minutes, waiting to get serviced. Then a group of white people came and got in line after us. The waiter knew we were there first and told us “let me get them (the white people) taken care of first”. Our to go order was already at the front before we even got there (the waiter knew this) so it’s not like that was the reason we had to wait. And even the people from the other group motioned for us to go first because they knew we had been waiting before them. Crazy how the staff (Hispanic themselves) will discriminate toward other Hispanic customers. Food was mid-tier at best. My family and I all got different kinds of burritos and the staff couldn’t even bother to put what kind of burrito each order was. We had to open our burritos just to see what they were. Who wants to play with their food just to figure out what each one is?? Never...

I don't even know how to begin, LOL!!!!! That was, hands down, one of THE best plates of food ever served to me at a Mexican restaurant. And I'm from Texas so my standards are high. My husband felt the exact same way. We come up to Sulphur every August and why we haven't ventured into this restaurant before...? Means we've been depriving ourselves for years. Salsa is delicious, I got the Campanores Diabla, he got the Enchiladas Davis. I deliberately didn't eat all mine so I can have the rest tomorrow. By the way, also, extremely nice people in there. Our server was great. Didn't get his name - but a young tall guy who was so nice. Y'all are awesome. We'll see y'all again.

We came for dinner and was pleasantly surprised! Some of the reviews said everything was overpriced with small servings however we walked away stuffed and satisfied! We believe the prices are fair and only spent a little over $30 for two people. All the staff were attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed.

You do seat yourself but I couldn’t tell because there isn’t a sign. We didn’t realize we could choose until a waiter told us we could sit anywhere. The queso is not complimentary which is a bummer BUT we ordered a small and it was super yummy. That literally all I have to say that’s “bad” and that’s nothing lol!
