The Secret Garden Cottages in Sulphur are truly a hidden gem! These cottages have been a part of the community for decades, and you can feel that sense of history and charm the moment you arrive. They sit just steps away from the beautiful park that my family has enjoyed for seven generations, which makes the location extra special.
There are five cottages in total, making this the perfect spot for a family reunion, group gathering, or even a weekend getaway with friends. Each cottage offers privacy, while the central courtyard brings everyone together to share meals, laugh around the grill, or simply relax under the covered deck. One of my favorite memories is sitting there listening to the rain on the tin roof this morning in a moment of gratitude and prayer. It was peaceful, quiet, and restorative.
Jason and Sarah have done a beautiful job updating the cottages where needed, while keeping the original cottage aesthetic and charm intact. Everything is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. It’s clear they’ve poured their hearts into making this place a restful retreat.
If you’re looking for a place that combines history, tranquility, and a true sense of community, the Secret Garden Cottages are it. I can’t...
Read moreThe place is beautiful and quiet. The cottages felt like home. With everything u need to cook and shower. Becky has it sanitized and cooled off for our arrival. She greeted us inside the gate. She is a very gracious and friendly hostess! It's a 15 to 20 min drive to Turner Falls/Davis and well worth the drive! Cottage 4 has 1 bedroom with 2 queen beds; the "living area" had a daybed nestled against the wall. The cottage was decorded in Paris theme which my daughter loved. There is a charcoal BBQ provided. In my opinion Cottage 4 is the best! It has it's on "sitting porch". The location is across the "field" from the Chickasaw Recreation area- Pavillion Springs. We did see deer on our walk back to the cottage. They do have security cameras as it did seem like a little stretchy neighborhood surrounding the Cottages, however it's fenced off and so it makes it feel like u r on your own little resort. We did not feel unsafe. It is a very peaceful and serene spot. All the guest seemed respectful of the other guests and hardly knew...
Read moreChose this property because it was close to the Chickasaw Cultural Center and not too far from Turner Falls. I read the reviews before making reservations with the idea that if it is at least 3 and the reviews say it is clean then I would make the reservations. I was so surprised to see all the 5's. Not many properties get those kind of reviews. My husband and took our grandkids ages 14 &11. We all enjoyed the beautiful setting the comfortable cabin that was clean and well equipped. Would love to go back for a recharging time with just the hubby. AND bonus it is literally a half block from the Chickasaw National Recreation Area , Platt National Historic District. When we turned onto 12th Street from the main street my husband wasn't sure we were in the right place. Just keep going....parking is in the back of main house behind an at least 8 foot cedar fence. When you open the gate to the Secret Garden you will see what all the...
