Vick's Burger Shack — Restaurant in Sultan

We used to live at the house on Vicks property. Used to be a little dinky teriyaki. When Vicks was put it it was really good we used to go to sultan just for it . They had a basket and it wasn’t to expensive. I have come back a few times the past few years and this time around I don’t think I’ll ever go back . They don’t do half of the things they used to there homemade root beer is now mug and there handmade lemonade is so sweet and not good. There fries now look like frozen fries and arnt good . The prices have SKYROCKETED and for them using cheaper products you would think they would stay the same price at least! . They do take a while but that’s fine for a good burger . 2 people was about 50$ today and they forgot the extra ranch that is one of the only good things left on the menu . Hate to see this place that used to be a favorite family place is now not very good and I hope the owners bring it back to the old ways . I don’t like being that person but this place was a family place for us and it’s sad . As for the workers they seem really nice but one male other than that great place just not for us...

Mushroom Bacon Swiss Burger - The strong char-boil taste, takes this burger to another level. Definitely one of the best burgers I had in my lifetime. I was not expecting this burger to be so good. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Fries - this fries was really good as well. Definitely above average. Could have been alittle more crispy. Other than that they were perfect. I'm not sure, but I'm thinking these might not be made from russet potatoes. They so fluffy in the middle. Russet potatoes usually are not like that.

Fry sauce - I didn't like it.. Sorry that's just me.. I guess it's their most popular sauce.. but I would try a different sauce next time..

Service - The guy that took my order was a great guy. Pretty funny, talkative, upbeat, young guy.. I had a good time interacting with him..

I'm from Tacoma and was only out there for a job I was doing for the school district. If I'm ever out there again, I gotta stop back here. If someone ever brought up the city of Sultan to me, I bet this place would be the first thing that...

Found this place when up in Sultan for the Sultan to Monroe river float 8-9 years ago. Used to go up to float the river every summer. Grab a burger fries and a shake and hang out at the river park down the street. Now I make the hour long drive just for “EL Heffe” and a peanut butter chocolate malt. Best burger in Western Washington. (roasted pablano and chipotle aioli on a perfectly proportioned bun with a flavorful flame broiled patty). I work with a bunch of burger snobs and any of them that have followed my advice to go for a nice weekend drive and try this place out have agreed it’s the best burger you can get within 100 miles (Which is saying a lot since Seattle has some great burger joints). They have gotten a little more expensive over the years and I think that’s great. It’s going into paying their employees a fair wage in a small town without a lot of places to work, and you can tell they get that by the level of customer service they provide. Yeah, it’s the best....
