McDonald's — Restaurant in Sumter

This location really needs to shut down or get an entire new team of managers and regular employees. No matter what time of day or day of the week, they cannot get their act together, meaning it's not just a couple of employees, it's the attitude and culture of "who cares" within the entire workforce there. Consistently getting orders wrong and giving attitude when you bring up that the order is wrong. Other times completely forgetting the order itself and then blaming you for not asking about the order earlier when in fact you did ask another person that said the order is being made at that exact moment. The cooking of the food is hit or miss with misses too often to include cold, saggy fries. The reason for this review is more for upper management to take action to turn this place around since it really is as good as just an empty lot...

Went though the drive thru on my way to Columbia for a work meeting. Paid extra for a round egg on my Egg McMuffin meal and also purchased an additional drink. Egg was RAW and I had a giant bite before I realized it was NOT COOKED. I called and nicely explained that the egg was RAW and I couldn’t eat my food. The lady said she would “write my name in the book” as she was a supervisor and asked me if I wanted to come back again for breakfast or lunch. I said I would stop by and let them make me lunch. Stopped in today (a month later) and my name conveniently “wasn’t in the book” and the lady at the counter was nasty to me and said “If your name isn’t in the book I can't replace your meal.” So unless you want food poisoning and rude service; stay away! Ordered a Classic Big Mac pack-extra sauce & extra onions on both burgers, no salt on fries, and honey mustard & hot mustard sauces for the nuggets. Had to pull & park into #1 to wait for my order. After 10-15 mins, order brought out with bag wide open & too small to hold everything without bag bursting. No sauce was given; no extra sauce on either burgers; fries tasted as if they were reheated in hot oil. I didn't want to give them 1 star rating. I heard management was changed but it seems to be worse than before. Young workers spend more time talking to each other & playing with their hair than verifying the orders are correct. I'll rather drive to the Hwy 15 South location for excellent customer service...
