Belk — Local services in Sumter

I was in Belk last week and it was fairly busy. There were only 2 registers open and both had at least 5 people in line with cashiers working as hard as they could and remaining pleasant. All I needed was a price check but it was a purse that was attached to a counter so I stood in line for 15 minutes. I tried to stop one worker who told me she was on the way to the restroom and she would assist me when she returned. I watched her return to her area and she never glanced my way. I wanted to get aggravated, but the more I watched, there was nothing most of employees could do differently. If I were only rating the cashier at the jewelry counter she deserved 5 stars. I felt bad for those who were doing their best to keep their heads above water and providing friendly customer service. I wonder if the store cannot find employees, things have been this way at Belk for a while now. I hope management is recognizing the employees who are working so hard!

What about this morning around 10:30 had no idea that the hours changed because what was posted on the door was holiday hours. Went in the store. The doors were opened unlocked. The lights were on for 20 minutes. I walked around the store by myself no clerks no one in the building no music nothing happening Yelling for anyone only to find out no one was in the building so who opened the door? Apparently someone left the doors open last night at Belk in Sumter because when the manager came in this morning, me and another lady were standing there, trying to figure out where everybody was She said she was the only person there and had just gotten there so you’re telling me Belk stayed open, unlocked all night that’s wild and then they ask us to leave and come back in 20 minutes. They need to close Belk in Sumter. I’d rather shop...

Not happy at all. I did an Online order and in person pick up. Husband went to get it and was told one of the items was not there. When I made sure it was. Husband was told my card was not charged when clearly it was. I was told to call CS but it's to late, it's after 6:00. Try calling the store several times no one is answering the phone. I wanted to see if I can get it in another color, being that it shows it's there in stores. I am very upset no one has time to drive 45 min there and 45 min back. They need to do better. Christmas is in 2 days I don't have time for nothing to be shipped. I need another color or my money to be refused my money...
