Grace Coffee Co. — Restaurant in Sun Prairie

I decided to stop for the 1st time today after church to get breakfast and coffee for my family. I thought the sandwiches were good but very over priced. My family was divided on how the sandwiches tasted. I asked if they had orange juice and they didn’t but recommended a lemonade. So I got that. When they handed it to me it looked to be like some sort of a berry lemonade. But when we tasted it it was sparkling water with fruit in it. It has no taste of lemonade in it at all. I asked for an iced americano with cream. They said that if they put cream in it (because they use sparkling water with it) it will curdle. I asked is there sweetener in it at least and they said yes they put vanilla in it. There was a slice of lemon in it and it tasted horrible. I understand that everyone’s tastes are different but this was just beyond bad. I spend about $50 for 3 sandwiches and 2 drinks and the drinks were didn’t even drink and one of the sandwiches was hardly eaten. Definitely over priced and trying to be too fancy or something. I have enjoyed coffee here only in the past and always enjoyed sitting on the couch and chit chatting with friends. Today I went with a girl friend who has been wanting to try Grace. We ordered sandwiches and coffee. Our table rocked but we fixed it with some napkins. I had the Mordatella sandwich and it was extremely salty. I thought it could possibly be the meat so I tried just the meat and it was good, I tried the bread and that was it, some type of spread on the bread made the bread unable to eat. I ate my salad and the meat and left the rest because it was too salty. My girlfriend also said her sandwich was salty took everything off the bread. My girlfriend had an iced coffee that she finished but was still thirsty so she got a cup of water. She poured her ice from her iced coffee into her water cup and to her surprise there was a bug in the ice. She didn't make a big deal, but thought she needed to tell the staff so they could check their ice. I will not return...

WAIT TIME is ridiculous. The wait has consistently been way too long! It does not matter how busy they are, it has been a minimum of 15 minutes whether in the drive through or inside for simple orders for one. Going inside does not help! I have waited for 20-30 minutes multiple times thinking I will give them another try. It is always slow but never acknowledged. Some servers have been nice, others rude or unhappy. The almond croissants and coffee are good, however their chocolate croissants uninspiring. I had a strawberry Nutella croissant which was soggy from old flavorless strawberries on it. Their Italian sodas are good sometimes, but inconsistent. Breakfast veggie sandwich was ok, but the flavor again is so uninspiring. It’s a place I want to love but simply leave disappointed, minus the good tasting coffee. Not sure how they get good reviews and how management doesn’t fix the timely issue.
