I had been going to Blush on a fairly regular basis for the past couple of months. The customer service has never been great (most of the techs are rude and act annoyed when you come in and tell them what you need done), but the price was right, so I always sucked it up. After all, most of the techs do a decent job (although one woman who did my dip manicure acted so annoyed and rushed with me, that it was no surprise I had 3-4 nails pop off within days, despite my other dip manicures lasting for 3-4 WEEKS).
But after today, I will not be back. I had emailed 48 hours ahead of time for an appt, as their website requests. I was hoping to get a pedicure with my daughter so I wanted to be sure we had an appt. However, after receiving a response asking which location I wanted, despite that info being in the subject line of my message (which I then gave that info again), I had never heard back so I wasn’t even sure we had an appt scheduled. I figured we’d take our chances and go in. The guy rudely informed me they were booked until noon. I nicely asked him if he could check and see if we had an appt booked, since I had emailed about it but never heard back. He snidely asked, “how long ago did you email??” I replied Thursday morning. As he’s looking through the emails, he rudely says, “you probably scheduled the wrong location.” Again, no, I clearly specified Sun Prairie.
He finally finds my email and says “you didn’t give a date, so no appt.” My email from two days ago clearly said “I was hoping to make an appt for this Saturday....”. Never before have I had any establishment be confused about the words “this Saturday” and need an actual date. I pointed this out to him and he just shrugged. I understand mistakes/misunderstandings occur, but there is never a reason to be so rude to your customers (especially when the misunderstanding was on them, not me.)
So my daughter and I headed to Kelly Nails instead. I refuse to patronize establishments, like Blush, that are so poorly lacking in...

After getting them on, I was told that if I wanted them off, I had to come back in to have them removed. Okay. So, last week, I called and they told me they didn't have time to remove them. So, I thought I would do a walk-in right away when they opened on a Sunday morning. Got there about 5 minutes after they opened and I was on the fence as to whether to have them removed or re-done. I asked the lady how long of a wait it was. She said an hour. I killed time for an hour and returned to the salon. While waiting, another customer told me how unhappy she was after having these nails for some time. Her real nails were very thin and brittle. So, I decided to just have them removed since I already wasted an hour. Once I sat in the chair, the lady asked me what color I wanted and I told her I just wanted to have them removed. She then told me that they didn't have time to remove them and that I would have to wait. Mind you, in order to have them re-done, they have to completely remove them and start over. So, I said, "let me get this straight. You don't have time to remove them, but you do have time to remove them AND put them back on?" and she said "we don't take appointments just to remove." At that point, I reminded her I didn't have an appointment and that I was a walk-in who already waited an hour. After some argument, she took the nails off. She was rude about it and I am pretty certain they were all talking about me in their language. On a side note, the other thing that irritates me about Blush is that they give you a nice little punch card (buy so many manis/pedis and you get one free), BUT, you have to pay CASH in order to get your card punched. Interesting. If I could give it a zero star, I would. They don't even...
Read moreThis was quite the experience! I first went in with my bridal party on a Wednesday, we all got manicures and pedicures. 4/5 had an issue. Girl 1 has mismatched colors on her hands and toes. Girl 2 was rushed through her pedicure leaving dry skin still on her feet. Girl 3 asked for shellac but was given regular polish and was charged extra for "no chip polish". and Girl 4 asked for gel nails and was argued with saying shellac was better. Finally just gave in. After just 3 days everyones nails had chipped. By day five my shellac that I didn't want to begin with was peeling off! I posted a review and said I'd lie it removed they said they could and IF I removed my review they would fix it free of charge. Another girl also wanted her's fixed they gave her the same bribe. I made a stink so they "fixed" them for free. The other girl was charged extra to get hers fixed. We went in to get them fixed and the OWNER caused a scene with us arguing that we just didn't understand how it worked when you get your nails done and we never told the tech we wanted or didn't want shellac. He even called the tech over to tell us we never said this. He was VERY rude. When he took us back to fix the nails he rushed through and did a very sloppy job. Applying a fake set to mine that are uneven and bubbly. He gave the other girl shellac and the very next morning she has polish coming off! They refused to give her money back and said she could come in to fix it AGAIN. Worst customer service ever. No apology, no trying to listen to our grievances. Just arguing. It is a was a huge mistake to go there. The owner removed our reviews himself since we would not. Just...
