pros people there were very nice it seemed clean from what i saw the prices were in line with other restaurants in the area the portions were big the santana banana was good it was interesting and different and i enjoyed it as i like plantains the flan was good the potato ball was good the maduro was ok i have had better but it was still good the rice with red beans was good the yellow with pigeon peas was good the chicken stew was just ok it was different then i was expecting i imagined more veggies and maybe more of a flavor broth but it was still enjoyable the beef wrap was good and large the empanadas were good

cons would be good to see some more veggie options for vegetarians/vegans maybe some more sides that are not fried

The people working were really nice. When i asked for something vegetarian they did not have much but said they have some vegetables, beans and quickly stuffed a few empanadas for me. this was off menu and last minute but they did it to accommodate the customer which i think is great. The food was good and interesting recommend trying this place. its nice to have more diverse food in this area. Thats more...

Food might be good, but I definitely did NOT feel like this was a safe or clean environment. In today’s COVID environment, with cases spiking, feeling safe and confident in a business is the ONLY way we will eat out anymore, and we definitely did not feel that way about Santana’s SOULfrito. They are NOT enforcing any kind of mask wearing - as we waited, six different people walked in without wearing any masks. Totally understand not wearing masks when you are eating but standing in line waiting to order or waiting for your to-go food should not put you at risk the way they did. Staff were not wearing masks correctly and the girl taking our order used her gloved hand to pull her mask away from her face multiple times to talk, then didn’t change her glove before serving up food. The guy bringing out food from the kitchen to refill the serving line always had his mask pulled down and not covering his nose. Wanted to try this place and support local business but our first impression was absolutely not a positive one and we unfortunately wouldn’t feel safe...

So amazing I never have time to take pics of the food before it starts being eaten. Tastes as homemade and authentic as if your abuela was making it! ❤ owner is friendly, attentive and caring to how you like the food, very little extra staff but they are all amazing as well. Food always hot and fresh! Environment is welcoming, fun, clean, and has a great island vibe. Menu is small but has ALL THE RIGHT AND PERFECT choices to make! Have at this point...tried every thing and there is not one thing that...
