Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Sunnyside

I visited the Sunnyside location a bit after 9:30ish and let me tell you it was absolutely delicious especially I was shocked how tasty their Mac and cheese was I actually wished I had gotten a large side of it had I known it was going to be that delicious just like homemade it was so cheesy and we all know some places especially in fast food cannot produce great Mac & Cheese at all!!. Although I would've preferred a thigh & leg (but I guess that's all that was available at the time etc) Anyhow the chicken breast was very juicy & I normally don't care for chicken breast because no matter where I've went that had chicken I avoid chicken breast due to my experiences it was too dry or overcooked etc I'll likely end up almost choking to death from it being so hard to swallow etc but for some reason this breast wasn't like that at all & that's rare for me LMAO!! I'll forgive the staff members for the biscuit being overcooked/burned at the bottom along with the small wing & the alright mashed potatoes and gravy but everything else was great!. New and nice, very clean. The counter person who took our order was friendly and efficient. My wife and I both had the much hyped Chicken sandwich and it was good but maybe a tad dry. Kind of disappointing only because you've heard so much about it you maybe expect more then a Chicken sandwich can deliver. For the side we both had French fries which are battered. The wife didn't care for them but they were hot and crisp and I thought they were good. The self serv pop machine is the old standby with limited options. Drive through service was good, everyone was nice and it went rather quickly (there wasn’t a long wait). Food is average but better than most fast food in town. Biscuits are moist and rather salty/ buttery on the outside. They also tend to get stuck on your gums when chewing. Macaroni is the flavorless version Kraft Mac and cheese. Chilled lemonade is good, the lemon flavor is not overpowering and the overall sweetness compliments the lemon flavor perfectly. Mashed potatoes would be slightly above average compared to KFC.
