Honey, spill the TEA! đŤâ¨ This Sunnyvale newcomer is serving FRESH-ness in Sunnyvale!
đ QUICK TIPS FOR MY DOLLS:
Parking tea: Skip the messy main lot drama and head straight to the Cherry Orchard residential/retail lot next door. Your nerves will thank you! Line realness: Usually snakes around inside, but moves faster than gossip at a viewing party Bring your own cup and save 30 cents - we love an eco-conscious moment!
Listen up, my thirsty darlings! Your girl just sashayed into HeyTea's new Sunnyvale location, and let me tell you - this isn't your basic bubble tea joint. This is giving luxury, this is giving minimalist realness, this is giving "I just stepped into the Apple Store but make it BEVERAGES!"
First impressions? STUN-NING! That illuminated logo moment on the wall is serving face, serving drama, serving "I'm about to quench your thirst but make it FASHION!" The aesthetic is cleaner than my Instagram feed after unfollowing all my exes - we're talking pristine white walls, light wood, and a setup that's more organized than my wig collection.
Now, the tea (literally): I got my lips on their Mulberry Strawberry Boom (less sugar, regular ice), and baby, it was giving everything it needed to give! Fresh fruit pieces swimming in that gorgeous purple-red moment, perfectly balanced sweetness - not too extra, not too basic. Just right, like Goldilocks but make it FABULOUS!
The service? WORK! Even with a line giving wraparound realness, these queens behind the counter are SERVING efficiency. Fifteen minutes from line to sip? That's faster than my quick drag, honey! And they're not playing with that quality - we're talking organic milk, no artificial nothing, just pure, unadulterated beverage excellence.
The verdict? HeyTea is serving premium bubble tea eleganza, and I am LIVING for it! The prices might be giving "I have expensive taste," but honey, for this quality? Worth every penny of my drag money!
If this review was giving you life, smash that heart button like it's the applause button at a drag show, and follow your girl for more...
Read moreWON't COME TO THIS PLACE AGAIN because the manager questioned me stealing my order.
The countdown on the payment page got stuck at 0 when I placed my first order on the app. I checked my bank transaction history and didnât see any charges, so I assumed the payment had failed. I placed another order, but again, the payment page got stuck. Since I had an appointment coming soon, I just ignored the Heytea situation.
After the appointment, due to traffic, it had already been over an hour since I placed the orders. When I checked the mini program, to my surprise, both orders had actually gone through. So I drove to Heytea.
I first asked if I could get a refund for the second order. The staff member said she needed to ask the manager. The manager came and said the second order had already been made, implying that a refund wasnât possible. That was totally acceptable. Then she checked my first order and told me it had already been picked up by someone.
Then she started investigatingâasking employees, checking the surveillance footageâand eventually came over with the footage to question me, asking if I recognized the Chinese girl in the video, even emphasizing that sheâs also Chinese like me. I rolled my eyes so hard. She gently added, âMaybe your info was leaked,â without a single word of apology the entire time.
I took the remade drinks and silently swore never to return.
Dear manager, youâre really not very smart. Instead of confronting a customer without any solid evidence that I stole the drink, how about training your staff to check purchase records when handing out drinks? Thatâs the right approach.
Heytea, youâve lost me. I know I wonât make much of a financial difference to your business, but stillâyouâve lost me. Shout out to the heartwarming vibes next door at Trader joe. Trader...
Read moreMy first time at Heytea and was just so amazed by both the beautiful modern space, their artwork and that the drinks made are from all natural ingredients! Note tea wise- they primarily use jasmine tea as their base and specialize in their cheese cloud topping and fruit tea drinks.
Was skeptical at first because I havenât had much luck with chinese milk tea chains, such as Wowtea and Molly Tea as I have noticed chinese milk tea chains tend to make drinks where the tea taste is very mild, with a very thin diluted consistency⌠compared to drinks at taiwanese milk tea chains, but that definitely is not the case with HeyTea!
We ordered the Matcha Cloud Jasmine Latte and the Matcha Bobo Shake. Both had a nice creamy consistency, both not too sweet and the latte has a prominent jasmine tea taste. I also like despite using jasmine tea as the base, the drink was not too floral tasting, and balanced well with the matcha and cheese foam.
I think my bf and I ended up liking the latte more because we loved the taste of the jasmine tea. Though the boba in the shake was very fresh and chewy!
The staff here are very kind and efficient, as a first timer they also let me know they are known for their cheese cloud drinks and their Grape Boom drink. Service was also very fast and you order on the kiosk or through their own HeyTea app.
For my second visit, I ordered via the app and they give you a 15% discount on your first order and then you can you order here to earn rewards/future discounts. I also loved how the app showed a breakdown of the drink components so you can really understand what is in your drink.
I think for the whole overall experience it is worth the 8$ price tag and it is a hip place to hang out with friends, but not sure if I would go out of my way for the drinks...
