We checked in on Friday as we were attending an event at the Shoreline Ampitheater and based on the reviews and location, this was where decided to stay. One note is that if you are planning on going to the Shoreline, you should uber from the hotel, driving to/from the shoreline which is only 3 miles away is absolutely horrendous.||As far the hotel stay, when we arrived at 345 our digital key was not ready. I did the check in and stated that we would be arriving at 3, so when we arrived I had to check at the front desk. The representative stated that the room I selected wasn't available, and so she would put me somewhere else. This was confusing because I didn't pick a specific room, only a 2 queen bed room. She also stated they needed to check my credit card and ID, which is kind of pointless when doing the check in and digital key process and I am a Hilton Honors Diamond Member. ||Also there is a $20 parking fee that wasn't mentioned in my confirmation emails, nor is it on their website, they tell you this at check-in which is a inconvenience, but what are you going to do about it. The fact that it cost $20 and there is no security, no gate, no amenities for that parking is kind of of excessive. For Diamond Members this should be included. ||When we got to the room, it was very clean, and comfortable inside, we have no complaints about our room. When we woke up on Saturday, I received an email with my invoice, which had a different nightly rate than the one I booked and was different that my confirmation email. I went to the front desk and they adjusted it but no one know why it changed in the first place. ||We decided to give the restaurant a try for breakfast, and this is where the service went down. There was only one waiter, and he wasn't even a waiter. Didn't speak, didn't tell you if it was open seating, you had to go up to him and ask for everything. You provide him with your order and he immediately forgets it and you have to repeat it. I received my waffle luke warm/cold with no bacon as requested. I had to ask 2 people for some bacon, by the time I got it was kind of just over the meal. When we attempted to pay, we stated we did not want to charge it to the room as we were checking out. I was very clear about that, we provided two cards to split the payment. When I got an alert on my phone after my card it swiped. My card was charged for the full price of the meal, instead of for half if the payment was split as asked. At this point, the lady said they were short staffed, I get it, but that doesn't justify getting it wrong, if anything that would mean more reason to correct the issue. ||At that point, we just grabbed our stuff and checked out.||I called and left a message for the manager so we will see if anything is resolved.||However, overall the room was clean and comfortable, I would potentially stay here again if I needed to, but don't plan on coming back to the Ampitheater again or at least for a very...
Read moreI upgraded my room for a king suite with a "mountain view" but when I open the curtains, the first thing I see is a bunch of building. The mountains were all the way to the corner of the window. I had an unexpected security deposit fee when i checked in. 50$ a day. So my security deposit was an EXTRA $150 that I was not informed of until I literally was checking in at the desk. So I had no choice but to pay it. If you paid with a credit card, the fee is returned after a one full business day.. but if you used a debit card, you won't get it back for 7-14 business days. Also I called days in advance to see if we can do an early check in. The email said that check in was at 3pm. I called and asked if I can check in at 12 and over the phone they said it could be a possibility, but they would call me back the update me if I could. They took my information and everything. I also told them I booked through booking.com, which they said its fine. But as the days went by, no call. So I land and get my rental and drive over and ask if I can check in early. To which they said no. I was just super disappointed. I flew from across the coast. Woke up at 2am to fly out to California from Georgia. So needless to say, I was exhausted. Since there's also a 3 hour difference from California and Georgia. I wish I was informed of the all the extra fees ahead of time. Plus if you want to park on their parking area, that was another extra fee PER DAY that you had to pay for, in which they give you a card to place on your dashboard of your checkout date. But there were no other options to park anywhere else because the only things around are business parking lots and you would get towed If you parked in the business parking lot. But if you didn't pay the fee for their parking, then a tow truck would still come by and tow your car. Needless to say if I was informed of the unexpected extra fees ahead of time, I would have been mentally and financially more ready...
Read moreBeautiful Clean Hotel All staff was cheerful polite and always asking if there was anything they could do to make our stay more enjoyable. Animal Friendly. Plenty of Handicap and regular parking. Near walking distance of several restaurants, grocery store, fast food. Also the hotel had there own bar and restaurant and conference rooms.û
This was a special stay for myself my husband and my Jack Russell service dog. I had a hip replacement in the morning and needed a handicap accessible room for the first couple of days before heading home. Checking in right after my same day surgery.
It was a large room, Cal King bed, dressers were close to bed. Plenty of good lighting in the room. Two additional chairs and a small table to sit at. A room with a view. Carpet was easy to walk on with a walker. A open closet with hangers to hang your clothing and also pull drawers that came out to put some of your items. A iron board and iron was supplied.
The bathroom was large with a shower that only had about 1 inch rubber seal around on the floor making it easy to wheel over or step over. It also had a bench seat and a hose attachment that was easy to reach. And not to worry there was a drain for water and a pull shower curtain. The vanities height was perfect with a large mirror with a sink, a towel rack with linens and a pump hand sanitizer and hand soap. Plenty of space to pull up a wheelchair underneath. The toilet and toilet paper was in reach of each other. Plenty of extra room for a commode.
In the bedroom there was a cabinet with a safe and on top was a coffee maker with coffee pods, creamer, sugar, cups stirrers. And a small refrigerator underneath which was nice to have cold drinks.
And right outside our room to the left was the ice machine. Elevator access was just around the corner from the...
