DISH N DASH is a fantastic Mediterranean joint. First of all it has cute outdoor seating but little indoor seating, so if you have a large group and it is cold outside don’t come to this location. We went in the summer so it was the perfect temperature in the night to be “outside”. I also noticed they were fresh juicing so I ordered one of the juices. The pineapple apple lemon mint juice was so good and foamy. It was very refreshing and fresh as it had been juiced like 2 minutes before. Definitely recommend the juices or smoothies. I then got the beef shawarma pita with garlic dip and hummus. Both of my dips were jaw dropping. My favorite was the garlic dip which was overloaded with flavor and had an amazing consistency. They also provide 4 different dips for free so you should definitely try all of those because they are all unique. The beef shawarma pita itself was also pretty good, but it wasn’t anything special. The meat wasn’t flavorful enough, however there was a lot of it so no skimping. The pita was toasted and really good so definitely try some of their pita! The next thing I tried was their falafel which was BOMBB crispy on the outside with a soft and dense interior. It went so well with all of the dips. The service was also really cute and nice with our order coming out very fast and all workers being very kind. OVERALL I would definitely recommend Dish n Dash and I would come again. The food wasn’t exorbitantly priced either!

I've been coming to the Bay Area for work over the last six months and despite the rave reviews, I hadnt yet had a chance to eat here. Until this week. And I've been here twice LOL. The chicken shawarma pita is jam packed w fresh, delicious flavors. The first visit I had the roasted red pepper and walnut spread and falafel as my sides. The roasted red pepper spread was absolutely incredible. So many flavors going on but not to much that it was confusing. Perfectly done! The second visit, I decided to do the garlic dip and falafel as my sides. The garlic dip was perfection! Not too strong, perfect consistency, went great with the fresh pita slices and the falafel. I even put some on my chicken shawarma pita. I'm slightly annoyed that it's taken me six months to finally try it, but I'll be making up for that post time each visit from here on out. This place can get very busy during lunch but they are quick. It's worth the ten minute wait...I promise

I am a big fan of Mediterranean food. I love falafel, hummus and tabouleh and all the unique sauces they offer. The flavors are excellent when done right. Bay Area offers quite a few good Mediterranean options – Falafel Bite on Stevens Creek Blvd, the fantastic Falafel Stop on Sunnyvale-Saratoga road, and the sit down Dish Dash in downtown Sunnyvale.

A few years ago, Dish Dash opened a drive through, fast casual place on Mathilda Avenue called Dish’n’dash. I assumed that the food was no different from the Murphy St Dish Dash and skipped going there all these years. Our office campus moved to Sunnyvale, not too far from Dish’n’dash and I finally trudged there a few weeks ago. Since then, I have made multiple trips and can happily report that Dish’n’dash is a fantastic place to get a weekday lunch and is turning to be a regular haunt for me. Here is why.

The best way to describe Dish’n’dash is that its the Chipotle of Mediterranean food. I would completely not be surprised if they had Chipotle in mind while building this specific outlet. From the kind of paper that the menu is printed on to the way the menu is broken down to how the orders are processed, it looks and feels a lot like Chipotle. And that is not a bad thing.

Simple, easy and healthy choices are not common in the Mediterranean cuisine based restaurants and Dishndash is refreshingly different. Over my few trips to the place, I have tried multiple combinations, multiple side dishes and multiple drinks. And yes, multiple sauces. Most if not all of them were pretty good to great. The spicy sauce combos are definitely must have. Their fresh fruit juices (made in front of you) are a welcome option.

Seating is limited and the place is designed to be a takeout. You can also order via their website or their iPhone app. Ordering online is the best option. Saves you a ton of time waiting for food. The falafels are almost always freshly made. The veggies seem fresh. The bread is good and just a smidgen less awesome than the one at Falafel Stop.

Prices are reasonable- a base veggie falafel on rice or in a pita bread with no sides runs to about $7.5. Add in some sides and extras and it works to about $10. I usually have a drink to go with it and my bill works out to about $15. Not bad for a full and healthy lunch.

My only gripe- the baklava was just OK. I strongly recommend giving Dish’n’dash a shot. You will definitely like it.

Rating:

Ambiance: 8/10. Really meant to be a takeout place with limited and cramped seating.

Service: 8.25/10. If you plan to take out, I strongly recommend ordering in advance. At peak lunch hour, wait times are usually 10-15 minutes.

Food: 9/10. Fantastic. Love it.

Price: 8.5/10. On par with competition and given the option to add things on for a price, manageable.

Restroom: N/A

Overall: 8.5/10. It is the food that really matters here and it is very good. What are you...

Dish n Dash in Sunnyvale: A Delicious Destination for Lunch I recently had lunch at Dish n Dash in Sunnyvale with a group of colleagues. This was my second visit, and it certainly didn't disappoint. While my colleagues were raving about the fresh and flavorful salads, I opted for the chicken shawarma, and it was absolutely amazing. The shawarma was perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. The accompanying sauces were a delightful complement, adding a touch of spice and tanginess. The portion size was generous, leaving me feeling satisfied but not overly full. My colleagues, who are self-proclaimed salad aficionados, were equally impressed with their choices. They described the salads as incredibly fresh, with a vibrant array of colorful vegetables and a variety of delicious dressings. What stood out: High-quality ingredients: The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite. Flavorful dishes: Both the shawarma and the salads were bursting with flavor. Generous portions: The portions were substantial, offering excellent value for the price. Pleasant atmosphere: The restaurant had a relaxed and inviting atmosphere, making it a great spot for a casual lunch. Highly recommend: Chicken Shawarma: A must-try for any fan of Mediterranean cuisine. Salads: A wide variety of fresh and flavorful options to choose from. Overall: Dish n Dash in Sunnyvale is a fantastic option for a quick and delicious lunch. Whether you're craving a flavorful shawarma or a healthy and satisfying salad, you're sure to find something to enjoy. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal in Sunnyvale. I hope this...
