A Delightful Stay at Best Western, Silicon Valley
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Best Western in Silicon Valley, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience! From the moment I stepped in, the front desk staff were nothing short of wonderful. They were welcoming, efficient, and made check-in a breeze.
The rooms were a breath of fresh air – literally! They were spotlessly clean and what I loved the most was the ability to open the windows for some fresh air, a rare find in hotels these days. It added a nice, homely touch to the room. Plenty of plug ins all over the room. The desk had at least 6 alone for all your technology.
Now, let's talk about the breakfast spread. It was amazing! There were plenty of healthy options like oatmeal, hard boiled eggs and more, which I appreciated. The latte machine was a delightful surprise, adding a special touch to my morning routine. It's not every day you find a hotel that puts so much thought into their breakfast offerings.
The location of the hotel is another big plus. It offers easy access to everything you might need in Silicon Valley, making it a convenient choice for both business and leisure travelers. The gym is two stories and awesome.
In summary, my stay at the Best Western in Silicon Valley was nothing short of wonderful. It's a great choice for anyone looking for clean rooms, friendly service, and a fantastic breakfast experience. Highly...
Read moreMost Best Western's that I stay at are friendly and helpful, exhibit a standard of quality. I trust Best Westerns as a result. However, Silicon Valley Inn is perhaps the worst one I have ever stayed at. The staff is unfriendly, unhelpful, irresponsible, and belligerent when confronted about any of the previous issues. Much of the hotel amenities are very old and outdated, requiring explicit special instructions to operate.
Between different shifts, there is clearly no communication, as one shift told me one thing and another told me something completely different regarding parking policies. Long story short, I wanted to leave my car at the lot to use alternative modes of transportation during my stay. The night shift gave the okay to leave my car there until 6 pm in the evening (checkout was at 11am, this is why I had to confirm and call). At checkout though, everything was completely reversed and the new staff was not only unhelpful, but belligerent when confronted about how this reversal completely ruined my plans for the last day of my trip. In the end, I said "fine, I will work it out myself and move my car, but this will show up on your survey"; to which he replied "go ahead, go ahead" in an aggressive tone.
I do not recommend staying at this hotel at all. While it offers basic amenities, the age of the equipment and the service of the front desk makes this Best Western no better than any...
Read moreTwo stars for the decent room and bed. The breakfast options are sad, especially if you are vegetarian, and if you try to get a coffee/tea from the main area after breakfast hours, you will be told "it is closed" and then when you ask incredulously "I can't even get a coffee?" you will be told "No, sorry." That's pretty poor customer service, in my opinion. Especially considering the cost to stay here and the fact that the coffee is low quality--out of one of those machines. To be clear, I didn't say tea, but I was made to feel like I could not get anything, not even hot water and a tea bag that probably costs them all of maybe 10 cents. I honestly would not ever stay here again. There is another Best Western in Santa Clara that provides much better service and breakfast than this one. If interested in details, see my Google review on that hotel located on El Camino Real. That hotel is the one that deserves your business, not this one. One final note: some might say, well, hey there's coffee in your room. Yes, I tried it. Somewhat worse than the coffee from the machine. And my point here is that as a guest at a hotel, you should be able to still get a coffee or two -- or a tea -- beyond breakfast hours. I certainly don't expect food, but not giving guests the option I described is...
