We recently stopped by this bakery for brunch and decided to try Nahita’s Special, a traditional Middle Eastern / Mediterranean breakfast spread. It came with feta cheese, olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, jam, honey with cream, Barbari bread, borek, and simit, plus an egg dish of your choice. The highlight for me was the honey and cream combination. It was rich, simple, and absolutely delicious. The portions were very generous, easily enough for two people to share. I also loved the endless pots of tea, which was a thoughtful touch for tea lovers. For the egg dish, we picked Menemen (a middle eastern -style omelette). Unfortunately, it didn’t quite hit the mark. The texture was too watery, and the tomatoes weren’t cooked enough, so they felt separate from the eggs rather than blending together. As for the setting, it’s not particularly fancy or well-decorated, more of a casual, behind-the-scenes kind of vibe. I should say, the space was clean and comfortable enough for a relaxed meal.

Tried Turkish brunch for the first time today đŸ‡čđŸ‡· I noticed this place before when we came here for Nepalese food, and finally got to try it today. We arrived around 9am on Sunday and it wasn’t too busy yet, but after 10 it started to get crowded. We ordered the Turkish breakfast for two – everything in the photo is included, except the pistachio dessert at the top. The highlight for me was definitely the bread! There were four different kinds, and a couple of them had butter or spices inside – so good. The egg dish tasted a lot like scrambled eggs with tomatoes. On the side, there were jams, veggies, and something like cured meat. Normally I drink black coffee, but I tried their Turkish tea this time – it was really good, and unlimited refills too ☕. As a carb lover, I was so satisfied 😆. If you haven’t tried Turkish breakfast before, I really recommend it – delicious and such a fun experience. Can’t wait to come back and try other dishes next time!

Discovered this spot during a weekday lunch, and what a delightful find! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the heavenly aroma of freshly baked bread. Nahita offers an impressive variety of authentic Turkish breads and breakfast specialties. The Çılbır (poached eggs over garlic yogurt) is absolutely out of this world — rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. The beef and cheese börek is another standout, perfectly crispy and savory. They even serve complimentary Turkish tea, which adds a warm and authentic touch to the experience. The staff are incredibly friendly, and nearly everything is made fresh to order, yet served quickly. A must-visit for anyone craving genuine Turkish flavors in a cozy setting.

If you're searching for an authentic and heartwarming Turkish breakfast experience in the Bay Area, look no further than Nahita Bakery. Named after the ancient Roman name for Nigde, this charming spot truly lives up to its promise of delivering homemade flavors.

From the moment you step inside, the aroma of freshly baked goods and brewing tea transports you straight to a cozy Turkish home. The star of the show, without a doubt, is their Turkish Boreks. My favorite is potato filledborek. These flaky, savory pastries, filled with various delicious ingredients, are a true revelation. Each bite feels like it's been prepared with care and tradition, perfectly crispy on the outside and wonderfully soft within. The variety ensures there's something for everyone, whether you prefer cheese, spinach, or potato fillings.

Complementing the Boreks, and equally impressive, is the unlimited tea service. This isn't just any tea; it tastes genuinely homemade, brewed to perfection with that comforting warmth and rich, inviting aroma. It's the kind of tea that encourages you to linger, chat, and savor every moment of your meal.

Beyond the Boreks and tea, Nahita Bakery offers a full Turkish breakfast spread for two people that includes an array of cheeses, olives, fresh vegetables, jams, honey, choice of your eggs and borek. Every item on the plate feels fresh and thoughtfully sourced, contributing to a truly wholesome and satisfying meal.

The ambiance is relaxed and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely weekend breakfast with family or friends. The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience.

Nahita Bakery is more than just a breakfast spot; it's a culinary journey that brings the rich, comforting flavors of Turkish home cooking to the Bay Area. Highly recommended for anyone craving an authentic and delicious start...

You start your morning with your spouse, thinking, “Let’s grab a nice breakfast, enjoy the fresh air, maybe start the day with something warm and tasty.” A lovely idea indeed. And then you walk into this place. And just like that, your beautiful morning begins to crumble.

We ordered pastries to go, which arrived cold. A normal place would say, “Sure, let me warm that up for you,” and handle it in two minutes. What happened here? A 30-minute warming ritual. As if they were preparing a space shuttle for launch. As if heating a pastry required a full engineering team. And every time we asked, the same legendary line: “It’ll be ready soon.” Apparently, in their universe, “soon” translates to an eternity.

The staff’s attitude toward customers was also impressive
because there was none. They didn’t look at us, didn’t acknowledge us, and practically treated us like we were invisible. It takes real talent to ignore people that thoroughly.

And inside the to-go bag? Absolutely nothing. No napkins, no utensils — nothing at all. Apparently the theme of this place is: “You have hands. Why would we give you utensils?”

And the taste, after all that waiting? — Bad. So bad that I wasn’t sure whether I should be upset about the terrible flavor, the wasted time, or just the entire experience in general.

In summary, this place is perfect for one thing only: ruining an otherwise perfectly good morning. If you want your day to feel like a slow-motion disaster, this is the spot. But if you value your time, your mood, or even basic service
 stay...

My husband is Turkish, so we are always on the lookout for good Turkish breakfast and Turkish food. But often, we are disappointed with the Turkish breakfast or generally Turkish food in the bay area. You either have to pay a lot to get good food or you get very mediocre food. So when we decided to check this place out, we really lowered our expectations. Nonetheless, we loved this place. A 45-minute drive was totally worth it. We got several pastries and desserts to go as well so that we can keep enjoying their food.

We went with the Nahita special for 2, and let me tell you that at least 3 adults could get full on this food. They serve a generous amount. Besides, kaymak and honey with simit were my highlights. Another huge plus is that you can keep drinking as much black tea as you want. This is the definition of Turkish hospitality. We had several tea glasses of tea each.

The place lacks in decoration and fancy interior style, but it makes up in food many times over. Also, I would much rather keep food reasonably priced than make the place...
