The Gurkha Kitchen, a well-known Nepali restaurant that has been titillating taste buds in California since 2019, is to add three more locations around the Golden State as part of a savory expansion of its culinary empire. This growth is evidence of the restaurant's enduring appeal to both Californians and Nepali expats traveling to the United States. The Gurkha Kitchen has built a solid reputation for serving up a real taste of Nepal, and its expansion should make this mouthwatering experience more accessible to foodies throughout the state. The Gurkha Kitchen's delectable Nepali cuisine, which features a special fusion of tastes and fragrant spices, has drawn diners in droves time and time again. The restaurant has brought a wide variety of Nepali delicacies to Californians, sparking a craze among culinary lovers, from traditional mo:mo dumplings to rich curries and aromatic rice dishes. More people will be able to enjoy the restaurant's trademark dishes and learn about the essence of Nepal's culinary tradition in three more locations. The Gurkha Kitchen has an impact beyond California since Nepali Americans from all over the country make it a point to stop by this restaurant whenever they are in the state. The Gurkha Kitchen wants to carry out its purpose of introducing a larger audience to the genuine tastes of Nepal and cultivating a greater appreciation for Nepali cuisine as it sets off on this exciting growth adventure.

I won a chess tournament kate night at 1030 pm, and was looking for dine in options closer to Sunnyvale and Gurkha kitchen was open late night! When I went there, it was completely empty, and I asked if they were still open. The guy said yes, and took my order. I ordered Paneer Tikka Masala, and a Tandoori Roti. He has some confusion in understanding my order but he got it after a few repetitions. I self assigned a table and got seated. I waited for a few minutes for water, but ended up requesting to the waiter. The food came quickly, within 5 mins. But he did not serve any plates and cloth/paper napkins along. I requested them and he got it later. As I finished my first roti, the owner (looked like) came around and asked if all was good. I said yes. He noticed that I was about to finish my roti, and there's still a lot of curry remaining. He asked me if Id like another roti, and I felt very nice. I nodded and said yes with a smile, and thanked him for observing and asking. The owner also asked me if I'd like to add butter to it, and I said yes again (felt nice as he asked in a very family friendly way). The quantity of curry was good enough, that it filed me up and was still remaining. I ended up asking for a to go, and they quickly provided it to me. Overall, a great family friendly restaurant. Good vibes...

Great service. Great atmosphere, Terrible food...

As a food business owner, you should never feel cheated after eating a meal. I rarely leave bad reviews but there are a few issues that need to be addressed.

SHRIMP CHOW MEIN-1st appearance it looked great. Nice color, full of veggies but where's the Shrimp??? Closer inspection I noticed the used TINY Shrimp Meat that a chef would have never used. When I say tiny I mean the size of DIME! maybe even smaller. So disappointing. The chow mein had great flavor. Just stay away from ordering the Shrimp option. What a joke!

SPRING ROLLS- Prior to ordering I specifically asked my waitress if these were housemade or were they store bought. She said they were made in house so I ordered them. $10 for 5 pieces. Well she lied. These are your most basic, frozen restaurant supply store, Chinese buffet egg rolls that you can buy SERVED WITH KETCHUP!! like wtf? . Literally $25 for a huge box at the restaurant supplier And you lie to the customer and charge $10 per order and can't even serve with sweet and sour sauce? King Egg Roll that makes real in house egg rolls charge $1.90 per egg roll that is twice the size. Stay away from ordering these. SMH.

CHILI MOMO- Great flavor. The momo itself lacked authenticity. It tasted like a fried freezer pot sticker tossed in a chili paste sauce and served with veggies.

Almost $50 later we left feeling robbed. Do better for your customers. Stop cutting corners to make money. Tiny salad shrimp meat, Ketchup as spring roll dipping sauce is just diabolical...
