We had 6 different dishes yesterday evening and zero were good. Our server outside was super busy and I was without water for quite some time but that I can deal with because I waited tables for a long time, I know how it gets. Outside was rough so I wouldn't recommend. There were hundreds of flies you couldn't take a bite without swatting so just go inside for summer. It was gross. Food wise we had two kids with us, one had a cheeseburger and one had grilled cheese bacon tomato Sammy and neither were good even in my opinion, my kids grazed a little but mostly didn't eat either one. I had caprese salad, nothing to write home about and not your typical mozzarella caprese as it was Barratta and creamy cheese inside, skip. The shepherds pie should of been a winning choice since its more authentic to the restaurant calling it a "classic" but seemed like all canned or frozen veggies some generic brown gravy and a bunch of mash, very little flavor _ just a sadness to all of Ireland I'm sure. I can't remember what my other family had but definitely forgettable. Most reviews mention drinks or the bartender...so maybe if you are drunk the food is good. If you plan to eat sober just go somewhere else. Oyster rock is out of this world and I mean I'd rather go to a burger joint than pay for food here. For the money they need to do better and there are better options at this price point. We spent basically $200 and may as well have burned it. ...
Read moreUPDATED: We went back for round 2!! Wow! After reading multiple reviews about the shrimp burger, I ordered it and it was AMAZING!! Who knew?! Well, apparently lots of folks knew and now I'm one of them!! My husband ordered the grouper sandwich, which was also excellent. Our waiter, Steve, was awesome...ask for him when you go and you will be well taken care of. We're glad we gave Fibber McGees another try! When you're in the area, grab a pal or two and definitely give this restaurant a go. Happy eating is a sure thing!! 😊
We had a good experience here! The service was excellent and the atmosphere is light. We sat inside, which has a few seating options for small parties. Most of the seating is at the bar or outside. Get there early if you want a spot! The food was good. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger. I wish I'd ordered a seafood dish, but maybe next time! My husband ordered the lamb pita, which fell apart and made a huge mess. We laughed about that, but if messy food isn't your thing, there are plenty of other options on the menu. The she-crab soup was delighful-- should have ordered a BOWL of that! 😋 If you're in the area, grab a pal and give it a go....
Read more4 of us went on a week night for dinner. The server sat us outside near the bushes. We were outside on a nice evening! Unfortunately, the server was rude, and unhelpful. Do you have Dr. Pepper? NO. Do you have a wine or beer list? No. What is price of a glass of Sauvignon Blanc? I don't know. Hummm? Ok bring me a glass anyway. I did get a very generous pour! Can I sub fries for chips. No. Ok I guess I'll take the chips.
Still having a good evening "with the help of my generous pour from the bartender". Then.... the mosquitoes came out for dinner as well. Right about the time our food came out. No offer to move us . No can't adjust the fans.We Couldn't take it any longer and got to go boxes. I think my grouper sandwich and chips were ok...
In hindsight, although the waitress should have offered, we should have asked to be moved. But, at that point we already were feeling uncomfortable with our clearly annoyed waitress. It seemed easier to get it to go, eat at home mosquito free than move a full table of food and drinks to another table.
Too much aggravation and money and too many other places to go to put up with an annoyed, rude waitress and...
