Family of 4 for $40. We paid in person for 2 adults and 2 kids under 12. We visited the planetarium dome to watch the 12-1pm Audio Solar System show. We homeschool and this was a nice experience on our family vacation to the beach. We read reviews before visiting and I’m glad we didn’t let the reviews scare us away. Worst case, it’s a fantastic place to nap for travel-tired parents and small children, and at best the coolest place for a 7 year old boy who loves space. We all enjoyed it for different reasons. There is a cute gift shop, and a science education/ entertainment room. Clean restrooms. Friendly staff.

Took my 8-year-old grandson and we saw two shows and visited the gift shop and the interactive Science area. We had a wonderful day, and we both thoroughly enjoyed the two planetarium shows. The bathrooms were spotlessly clean, and all of the employees were very helpful and friendly. My grandson specially loved the hurricane simulator, and all of the educational space items in the gift shop. We plan on coming back on a regular basis. Well worth the short drive from Myrtle Beach.

Attended the Beatles Abbey Road Laser Show at the Planetarium which my wife and I enjoyed. The entire album was played, each paired with a unique laser experience synced to the music. While some were more enjoyable than others, overall the theater which held about 100 patrons, we enjoyed the entire show. Within the Planetarium, there is also a small gift shop and a room for kids to explore space related exhibits, some interactive. Their holiday schedule starts 11/26.

I was not expecting such a great experience. How anyone would leave a bad review is beyond me. We arrived a little bit early and they opened the doors and allowed us in. The building was clean, handicap accessible and the staff was super friendly. We browsed the gift shop before the room with the hands on experiences was actually opened. The gift shop had very reasonable prices and a very nice varied selection! The hands on room was a lot of fun. There was not a million things to do, but you have to try the "hurricane" closet/room exhibit. Our show's guide was wonderful! I believe her name was Tammy. We saw Accidental Astronauts with our 10 year old grand daughter. She loved it. After the show there was a short talk about what stars would be in the local sky that very evening that we could look forward to watching. That was very unexpected. We visited the gift shop and purchased a couple of great souvenirs and are planning on going back again... probably going to make a weekend out of with a laser light show and doing some shopping. Sunset Beach is a great little town. Thank you so much to the Ingram Planetarium for helping us make our grand daughter's Birthday outing with her old Gram and Pop a cool experience! Update: As promised we made a weekend of it and returned for a laser light show (the one with Celine Dion, Santana music) and it was FANTASTIC!!! We are returning in a couple of weeks to see the Queen laser show! I hope this place never closes... Thanks again for a great time. Super...

I went with a group of friends and my mom for a showing at 4:30. We came much earlier just to explore the area around and decided to come in at around 1 to maybe get another show. We walked in expecting a decent sized museum but we were greeted with a small area no bigger than an average house. There was one other room besides the show room which is just an entertaining area for small children. Additionally, we were greeted with probably the rudest receptionist EVER. She was so unnecessarily passive aggressive towards me and my mom when we were just trying to figure out their schedule. She made snarky remarks and had a weird attitude when she said literally anything to us. Regardless, we ended up getting tickets for their 1 pm show and went straight into the show room. The minute I walked in I got a whiff of must and a pee like smell. The room was incredibly small as well. If for some reason you do buy tickets to come here, you would have to come a lot earlier in order to get remotely good seats. Lucky for us the show wasn’t very full. Now regarding the seats. Absolutely so uncomfortable. In order to see the images above you, you have to cock your head in such an awkward and uncomfortable position. Literally everyone was shifting in their seats. The show itself was pretty nice but i have most definitely had better experiences when it comes to planetariums. I would say save your money and find something...

Very disappointed we tried to bring our autistic son there and it was his first time ever doing anything like this never been to movie theater or motion rides. When it was time to sit down my son was upset and crying confused as to what was doing on but i wanted to wait for it to start for him to realize it was gonna involve space. My husband wanted to stand with him in the back til it started to show him how it was gonna be and if he couldn’t handle it we would’ve walked out but we were told he couldn’t stand there and so he left and i went to the desk to ask for a refund if we can’t do the show and was told she couldn’t. And i explained he was autistic and wasn’t use to doing something like this before but he’s very into space knows all his planets has multiple ceiling projections in his room and we drove and hour to go try it out. Should be more understanding and accommodating to those with disabilities and allowed us the 5 mins to see if he was gonna like it or not. Would like to try again but don’t want to be out more money and not be able to do it again… just very disappointing!!! I know he would’ve been so happy to see what was...
