Opal is the best salon in town!! It’s my one stop shop for everything! The employees are so sweet and welcoming and the salon is so clean!!! Kaitlyn the owner who is also my hairdresser for the last 5 years is by far the best. She always gets me in last minute with my busy schedule and has even changed her personal schedule just to accommodate me. She’s a new mom to a beautiful baby girl. She brings her daughter to work with her because she has no other choice but the fact she’s still choosing to still take care of her clients and juggle taking care of her daughter just shows how hard of a worker she is. I know a lot of women come to the salon to get away to relax but every time I have ever gone, her daughter is so good, I forget she’s even there. It saddens me that a recent review was made stating as if her daughter constantly causes a disruption. As a women who has children of their own, you should be more understanding how hard it must be to go to work and have to bring your child to work. I see a lot of reviews are from a while back but I'm reviewing from the recent experiences of 4 different people. I have two family members who were hijacked on multiple haircuts by kaitlyn prior to going somewhere else just because they don't like to complain. They were cut so bad they literally had to find someone else to fix it. There has also been a baby at the salon (while being cared for back and forth during haircuts). I don't know how you can give a precision cut while feeding and caring for a child. Spoiler alert you can't and no one did. It was a hack job. Not to mention that regardless, a baby doesn't need to be in a salon. I go to the salon to escape children and noise and get a relaxing cut. If no one ever said it bugged them they are lying. Also my daughter was cut here twice and it was a 3 minute "trim" (not an even trim) just a sloppy trim that cost me $30 plus tip for a child. I mean at least give a head massage and a wash or something but a dry 3 min trim for 30 dollars 💸 someone is just missing the point of a service at this point. Needless to say we all go somewhere else now, all FOUR of us....

Majority of the time, people only leave bad reviews like the one below me and she clearly has a trend of doing that. I've been getting my hair cut and colored by Kaitlyn for years and I'm always getting compliments on my hair. Kaitlyn takes the time to make sure your hair is exactly what you want. That's why I don't believe the woman below, or if this did happen, she didn't come to Kaitlyn face to face with any concerns, because I know Kaitlyn would correct it immediately. Opal Salon is always so clean and inviting each time I go in there. Everyone is beyond nice and willing to make your hair dreams come true.
