We had 5 adults and two small children with us at Aces tonight. The service was horrendous. We waited an hour and half for our food. In the first hour our waitress showed up at our table once to refill our sodas. Only once. When we finally asked about our food, after it had been over hour, it had almost seemed like it was forgotten about. Our food finally came out shortly after that. Our server never came back to ask how it was, if we needed anything, or if we needed new drinks. I finally went to the bar to get our checks because we just wanted to get out of there after almost two hours of being in there. Got our checks and I had to bring them with our card up to the front to get them swiped and ask about two cheeseburgers we order to take with us. Those were not done either. We asked when our server finally came back to the table to clean it, why it took an hour and half to get our food. Her response was there was a good amount of people there, honestly it seemed like a normal size crowd. We didn’t even wait for a table when we got there. There was four tables open in the small dining room to the left. And people even left when we got there. It didn’t seem to get more full until after we got our food. It was a little ridiculous. Our food even came out with some plates with a decent amount of fry’s and others with little to none. One of the burgers was supposed to have fried onions on it and you could count the 5 small pieces of onion on it. The olive burger just had a glob right in the middle of the burger. The salmon on another plate was super dry. We will...
Read moreFood was Ok, really can't say more or less than that.
I got a skillet, think it was the "full house" and it came with hollandaise, but it tasted off, can't really put my finger on why, though. My wife got a breakfast sandwich and while it was mostly good, the bacon was also off, far too crispy and I don't know, maybe it was overcooked, it just wasn't what I expected. overall, food was 6/10. and this is just my opinion, based on my own tastes. It might be better for you, maybe worse, judge for yourself.
service was good and our order came out quickly.
my only complaint was that the prices on the menu are NOT correct. I told the waitress these prices are different on our check, she said "yeah, it's been like that for months now, they haven't fixed it yet". and it was different by about $2 higher, which isn't a crazy difference, but it's annoying and I would have appreciated a heads up or you could have even put a notice somewhere or even on the menu, telling customers that the prices are not correct. Since it's been like this for months now, they aren't in a hurry to fix it. Just be aware you will be paying a higher price than...
Read moreWe don’t get all 4 of my children together at the same time very often. They chose Aces on 29th as it is close to our hotel and it looked like a good place to eat. My son ordered boneless wings, got bone in. I asked for the patty melt. It was soft marble rye, no onions and really bland. The cook just told the waitress that is how the patty melt is. I asked to see a menu, which read caramelized onions. I did let the waitress know this. They forgot my daughters order and had to ask what she ordered. My daughter told everyone to go ahead without her as we just received our appetizers and were not finished before our food came out. Everyone is finished with their food and my daughter just got her fish n chips. What a disappointment. I included a photo of the nachos that looked like a taco salad. We had to lift the salad to find the tortilla chips. There were about 10 tortilla chips. It took 8 minutes to get our waters. The waitress spilled beer on the table on my husband, then shook out her hands on my husband. The cook came out and apologized, stating they were busy. I am guessing this place isn’t used to being busy....
