Honestly, won’t be coming back here. I had heard good things about wasabi on superior Street, and I figured the experience here would be the same. Boy was I wrong. The atmosphere was nice. The waitress took a while to take our order, but that was fine. We placed our order for some sushi and fried rice . The atmosphere started to lose its charm when we had been there for 40 minutes without getting our food. Starting to look around, we realized that the three couples that had gotten there after us had already gotten their appetizers and sushi rolls. We voiced our concern to the waitress, who told us sushi was taking longer than normal for everyone, and that the other tables had only gotten appetizers. But I watched all three tables get delivered sushi rolls, so I knew this wasn’t true, but we let it slide and just hoped the food would come faster now that we had drawn attention to it. It wasn’t that long after that we got our food (waited about 50 minutes for our three rolls), but it was frustrating to watch the other tables get their first and second orders of sushi after only getting our appetizers. Upon arrival, the sushi was OK. Cloud nine in Canal Park has much better sushi in my opinion, because the one thing we noticed with all of our sushi that it was slightly mushy. It seemed soggy compared to sushi at could nine which had a nice thick seaweed that wouldn’t break, meanwhile this just fell apart multiple times every time we tried to pick it up. The taste itself was not bad, but as we munched on our sushi, happy to finally get it, my little niece pointed out a hair in her California roll. my mom had a bad experience at a café once with an eyelash in her food, so she immediately stopped eating and wasnt able to continue. I was pretty grossed out, but I finished my last two bites and my mom called the waitress over to let her know. We received a neutral response, and I’m assuming this was because she thought we were trying to get out of paying the bill or something. But we literally just wanted to let her know about the hair because it was gross. pricing was decent, about average for a sushi joint in Duluth or superior. Overall not thrilled though, and we don’t usually return to places where we find hair in the food, so we...

Google keeps asking me to review this place that I went, well here goes. I was in town for work and my girlfriend came to see me while I was in town. I thought I'd take her to a nice sushi place. And at first glance the place seemed very clean and the decore is actually very nice. As soon as we had been seated our waitress got a snappy attitude because I asked for Dr.pepper. I should have known immediately to leave, because if a place isn't licensed to sell dr.pepper you need to prepare for disappointment. The waitress immediately thereafter got a temper with my girlfriend for asking for some time to look at the menu. When the waitress finally returned around 34 minutes later She proceeded to lecture me about how their all you can eat option, I foolishly opted to order the all you can eat option. Most of what I ordered had Salmon in it. Almost all the salmon I had ordered had black and grey spots in the meat, when I questioned the waitress about the meat she informed me that for everything I don't eat that we would be charged more and did not return to our table again until much later after her and the rest of the wait staff had ignored us while we attempted to flag someone over so we could get the check and leave because flies inside the restaurant got bad that we became disgusted. Our waitress then continued to get an attitude at the check out because I refused to tip and had left a note that I don't leave a tip for rotten meat or bad service. The meal was terrible, Walmart has better sushi, the service was terrible, the decore was great other than the insects, the food was WAY over priced for the quantity and the overall lack of quality. if you want sushi is that area you'd be better driving to Duluth. I paid alot of money to end up with...

Have tried this restaurant twice in superior and both times have had a bad experience first time the older waitress would forget to bring use our food after waiting over 40mins when eating all you can eat and also not to mention I was one of the only people in the restaurant. Then she would cut me and my girlfriend off after ordering twice. The second time I went will definitely be my last as the same older waitress did the exact same thing this time I told her we were ordering more but she would not listen and still forgot to bring the stuff we ordered before she brought the bill. The bill came to $57.20 and we paid with $60 cash and was gonna leave a tip on the table until she looked at the cash and said where is my tip. So I just left her the change and as me and my girlfriend were walking to the car she followed us to my car and got heated saying the tip is for paying the bill and that she needs one. And we tried to explain to her on why we left so little this time but she just stormed back inside. Most of the people are good people there but it’s just the one older waitress that seems to be filled with greed and does not know...

I arrived before the lunch rush on Friday, and did not have high hopes because the outside of the building looks like an abandoned Wendy's. Inside though- oh goodness. You would not be able to tell. They did extensive renovation and it is gorgeous, with comfortable seating and lighting. I have seen quite a few people complaining about their leftover surcharge, so I was also a bit leery about that, but the waitress explained it when I asked, and it makes sense to not only keep their food costs down, but to help prevent waste. I can see how many Americans who are used to being able to pile it on and just throw away what they don't want might get upset, but screw them for being pigs. I was careful to only choose a little bit at a time so that I would not waste anything and it was perfect- I *easily* received $40+ worth of food in several rounds from their AYCE menu for their lunch price of $16- it was all made to order, very fresh, and perfect. I also had cold sake, iced tea, and a separate clear soup that was not on the AYCE menu- my total was $22. I will definitely return with friends.

I LOVE that they have ketogenic options!!!! If you’re going to attempt the all you can eat sushi lunch be sure to order in increments. The waitress tried to warn me, but the 19 rolls (and more) that I ordered were not easy to finish. If you do not finish what you claim you can eat you will be charged extra. I am a stubborn son of a gun and put it all down (whoot!!), BUT I will be more cautious on my next visit. Keto!! My son who is on a very strict ketogenic diet for medicinal purposes, enjoyed the sashimi lunch and Ikura (?) side order sashimi… I mean, look at that… pure beauty! My family of sushi lovers will absolutely be back, every visit to Superior will also include a visit to wasabi!

I love the food here very much but I feel very attacked at the end when I don’t leave a good enough tip. She explains that she shares the tip with the sushi bar too but I’m sorry I barely had enough to go out and eat. I’m already paying $45 for two all you can eat sushi. I don’t think it’s very appropriate to treat your customers this way. When they had the place in Duluth I was never treated this way. But now that they closed that one and the one in superior is the only one available now. I have worked as a server and would never go after my customers and tell them your tip isn’t good enough. I really hope this stops or you’re going to lose a lot of customers this way.
