I ruined my sterling silver Mjolnir pendant with Tarn-X not even a week after I bought it. I had also twisted and smashed the jump ring on my stainless steel chain while trying to remove the pendantâbecause I was incompetent. Embarrassed and crestfallen, I took it to this place for restoration, curious to see what could come of my visit.
Everyone was very nice, upbeat, attentive, and helpful. A manâwho Iâm assuming was Tommy, though I could be mistakenâtook my Mjolnir pendant to the back room and restored it. In fact, he exceeded my expectations, making it shinier than when I first received it. He even brought back the golden accents I thought were lost and replaced my jump ring, all in just 10 minutes.
I was astonished. He told me to bring it back another time so he could finish the job with his tumbler.
Amazing workâI will be back! The attached photo doesnât capture the luster and shine well enough due to phone camera inadequacies, but it will have to suffice. I will update this review with additional photos in the near future, following the tumbler service.

Read moreMy boyfriend and I stopped into this jewelry store looking to get a link taken out of his new watch. Upon arrival the employee out on the floor did not acknowledge us as he was helping another customer, after a few minutes he finally asked how we were doing and about 5 minutes after that asked us what we were looking for. We asked if he could get a link taken out of a watch and while barely looking away from the jewelry he was showing the other customer told us very condescendingly ânot right this second, you can leave it but not right nowâ. I 100% understand he was with a customer but he was perfectly capable of greeting us and explaining the drop off process for jewelry adjustments in an otherwise empty store. Additionally there were also a few people in the back who did not acknowledge the customers not being helped. I rarely write reviews but this store made it seem that a perfectly reasonable request that I have had absolutely no issue with in the past at other establishments was unreasonable. This kind of customer service is unacceptable and does not deserve business. I will not...
Read moreTommy and his wife are genius. Like a swordsmith that would make fine Japanese katana for battle, their jewelry pieces are absolute works of art. Each piece belongs in an art museum. And for a great price you can purchase these little pieces of local craftsmanship to enjoy. Tommy really enjoys the craftsmanship and uses his creative side to go far beyond just making jewelry. Here in this picture you see 'Pinch' an appropriately names North Carolina blue crab I purchased for my wife on Valentines day. So yeah, it has a name and lives in the case until I 'snapped' him up! Seriously visit Tommy and his wife and support their business and take a little piece of local NC with you when you head...
