I am giving 3 stars as an average rating. Not bad not great šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø. When we arrived parking was horrible but they do have a field now that’s called overflow parking which is pretty awesome. Got the same guy over the phone he didn’t describe any of the beers or any of the options that they have inside the building. I asked what do you guys have and he showed me a plastic menu and that was it. After waiting and looking at the menu and not knowing really what to get he finally asked what we liked and I said I’ve never been here I don’t know any beers. I ended up getting a cider drink which turned out to be pretty good. We went outside since the inside was jampacked. And there were kids pretty much everywhere with their mothers or their family. Typical I guess for parents to let their underage kids sip their alcohol. Of course it’s not intentional from the owners of the building but it is really weird why somebody would arrive have all the adults drink several beers in front of us have there kids just sit there and then everyone get inside the minivan and have the people that were drinking then drive off with kids inside the car? While I was there they had maybe seven dogs which is cool because I’m a dog lover but for some people they might be allergic to dogs or just plain and simple afraid even if it’s the sweetest dog in the world. Either way I don’t think the place is amazing and I don’t think it’s bad. It’s definitely something to come see take my review with a grain of salt you might not notice anything...

Please fully read! I have been going here for the last 4 years. I love this brewery. It is great for people that love IPAs. They will generally have a sour, a Pilsner, and a stout on tap too. There is also a limited selection of wine if beer is not your thing. The bartenders are very friendly and can easily help you make a selection with you are not sure on what to get. The brewery has a very relaxed vibe that has been great to go out with friends and co-workers. During the summer, they have fans running on the patio so it it enjoyable to sit outside. In the winter, they have outdoor heaters evenly spaced out so customers can stay warm. Dogs are always welcome. The bartenders usually have a treat for your dog when you get your first drink. By generally 5pm, there will always food truck with great food parked out front. The only complaint I have is the amount of kids that are present. Over the past year and a half, the amount of kids have sky rocketed. On a Friday or Saturday night you will have a 1/4 the people here being kids. It was fine at the beginning because most of the kids were well behaved and not running around, screaming, and blocking walkways to seating. Now it’s seem like it’s a brewery...

Went there to have a good time with my brother and when we got there and went to the bar to order, I asked ā€œdo you have flightsā€ and the bartender (short female) rudely said yep. She didn’t bother to ask what we wanted, then I proceeded to let her know what we wanted she looked at me like I was homeless, then she walked away. So I ask this very friendly young lady to take our order and she did. When we went to sit down the short bartender lady gave us looks that could kill. If my memory serves me right you should always be nice to the customer. Y’all would have gotten a better rating if she hadn’t had a part of her anatomy on her shoulders. As a US Marine vet and this being a Veteran ran business I’m really disappointed in how some of your staff can keep their jobs, even after the way they...

Came to Surf City for a day while on vacation and came across this place. I’m not a beer drinker, but my husband is and we decided to stop and I’m glad we did. The decor/atmosphere is out of this world. Everyone was so welcoming and nice. My husband found a few beers he really enjoyed and we bought some to bring it home to share with friends. As I said, I am not a beer drinker, but their ciders and seltzers were really good! Highly recommend the mango pineapple. Blackberry is good too! We also bought some merchandise and I can’t wait to wear the shirts! This place also donates some of their money to save the turtles and that’s another reason why I like them! If you are in the area, I highly recommend to check it out.

We've been meaning to visit Salty Turtle for a long time, but the crowds or family plans have always prevented it. We finally got there today, and could not have been more happy with this cool Coastal brewery. There are a good variety of beers to choose from. Flights include 4 beers; my favorites were the Coastline and Highway 50 (a sour), but all 4 were good. For non-beer drinkers such as my wife, they offer quite a few (5+) different kinds of wine. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, and the restrooms were clean and had vacant/occupied signs built into the handles. Merchandise was good-looking, with lots of nice shirts and glassware. It's a great brewery that we'll certainly visit again.
