New Mexican resturant, I have been there twice now with my husband and we love it!! My husband is Hispanic and he loves it. The first time we went Mario sat us and in less than a minute our waitress Laurena brought us chips and salsa (each person gets their own bowl of salsa) love that idea! The salsa gave us the first impression of how our food would taste. DELICIOSO!!!!!!!! It was awesome. Now we're excited to taste our entrees. My husband got Steak Mexicana which is a very tender t- bone smothered in onions and tomatoes served with rice and beans, it was very very flavorful. I had the Carnitas which is tender cuts of pork flavored perfectly with rice, beans and salad topped with Pico de gallo and guacamole. Second time we went same entrees again they were delicious! Our waitress this time was Jesse and she was prompt and as thorough as Larena was. So happy we have a great authentic atmosphered Mexican resturant in Surfside Beach. Much better than El Cerro they lost their authenticity and flavor too bad, I went there often. Once they get their liquor license approved they will have a really nice bar it seems. Look out for the grand opening on their web site Jesse told us it's gonna be great, maybe with a mariachi band. Good Luck to our new neighborhood resturant Los Cabos, come support them. You won't be disappointed, I wasn't, great food and atmosphere. Also you have to try their fried ice cream Omg!!!!! Its soooooo good
Update September 4th 2019 have been there around 10 times now if not more in the food is still consistent and the service is consistent just a...
Read moreOk I am very critical of Mexican restaurants and I have to say that this place gets 5 Stars across the board.
The decorations and aesthetics are wonderful, colorful and authentic.
The waiter was attentive, friendly and made some recommendations which we accepted and ordered. He was not wrong, everything we ordered was delicious.
We started with the chips and queso. The queso was wonderful, a little thin but it thickened as it cooled. The flavor of the queso was spot-on and the blending of the cheeses was perfect. Many Mexican restaurants use too much American cheese and that over powers the other cheese flavors, not so in this case
I had the Texas Fajitas which were seasoned perfectly and came out steaming hot. I immediately went to the veggies on the bottom to see if they were burnt and they were not. The fajitas were delicious and perfectly prepared.
My wife had the Texas Hawaii Quesadillas and the dish was divine. There was a lot of cheese on it and the seasoning was perfect. The contents of the quesadilla were cooked to perfection.
There is ample parking on both sides of the restaurant.
We had no wait when we arrived at 3pm for an early dinner. They have a full bar with margarita specials.
This was a very pleasant dining experience all around. When in the area, stop by and try this place. Hands down one of the better Mexican restaurants that we have been to in a...
Read moreAfter many hours of being hungry and shopping my mom and I finally decided to stop and eat. After a quick Google search of best Mexican restaurants Los Cabos popped up. Upon pulling up my mom and I were not sure if they were open as there were no cars in the parking lot. The open sign was on and flashing on the building, so we decided to go in. We were warmly welcomed by the host and quickly sat down. Our waiter was nice and patient as we took a few minutes to decide what to order. Their menu has a great selection of steak, chicken, shrimp, and vegetarian items; as well as drinks. Half of their drink menu is dedicated to tequila shots.
My mom got the pick two with a chicken enchilada and a chicken taco. I got the pick two as well with a cheese enchilada and a chicken taco. We waited a little while for our food, but while we did we munched on their tortilla chips and salsa. The salsa was a little bland, but it was good. I liked that the chips were light and crispy.
Our food came and we got right to it. We noticed right away that the food did not have a lot of spice or umph. It was good, but not what we were expecting when it came to Mexican food--it just was not there. It was very plain. So plain to the point that we had to order tomatoes, onions, and cilantro for our food as none of the items had any of them.
I may try again, but I definitely will need to bring my own...
