This has been one of our go-to hidden places for years. We always take our friends and family here when they visit. You always get double what you are expecting. Parking has always been a bit tight but there is parking around back - that being said they recently added posts on the far end of the lot which makes it a tight squeeze to get around there. They've also updated their seating in the lobby away from the booths which was great but tight to maneuver. They did away with the additional seating in the back. If you have a couple groups that hang around after eating their ice cream - there isn't enough seating. They added more tables along the side of the building but with toddlers/kids that isn't recommended because cars do sometimes pull through there and that seating isn't recommended during the heat or useful in the rain. The did this to add a gift shop - we didn't check it out because we were there for ice cream and had to leave and eat in the car because there wasn't anywhere to eat inside. Up until that last change - I would have rated this ice cream...
Read moreThis seemed like a cool place to stop. We stopped in with a small group (3 adults and 1 child). The sign was on and the dining room had a small group of 4 elderly people eating ice cream. My father in law ordered a chocolate malt and the gentlemen running the joint informed my father in law that the milk shake machine was closed for the night since they are closing in 5 minutes. The hours online showed 1- 10 and it was currently 8:55. Once we ordered a few cups of ice cream we payed and exited. Once out the door my wife noticed the gentleman running the business had turned the dining room light off while the elderly group was still inside and trying to finish their ice cream. This was totally not acceptable and very unprofessional of the single gentleman running the counter. I pray he was not the owner and that this gets resolved - this shop seems like it could a super cool shop and a great business model but not while being ran in...
Read moreThere are two reasons to go to this place. One, the ice cream is phenomenal. A triple scoop with a giant cone for 5 dollars? Yes please. Great tasting, such a variety of flavors, and a lovely atmosphere. The second reason is the employees are the kindest I've ever met in my life. Me and my fiance went here a couple days ago, intending to eat some ice cream and leave. We ended up there for an hour just because of enjoyable conversation made by an employee, whose name was I believe Atlanta. Also, this woman saved me and my fiance a lot of money by informing us that our dinner plans were more costly than we knew, she recommended a different place and even offered a coupon. Where she recommended was so lovely, but not as charming as her ice cream parlor! We will definitely make this shop a...
