In summary for those who don't care for the whole story: Messed up the phone number so they couldn't even refund their mistakes. Made 2 hot wing orders. 1 was cold and 1 was hot. The cold order was EXTREMELY dry. Don't appreciate old cold chicken. Messed up all the of pizzas that were supposed to have specific sauces and one with no onions because of an allergy. When they wasted our time and gas to pick up the remade pizzas they still messed up because the specified onion allergy request was not met. Tried to kill my dad with onions but offered 50% off the next 2 pizzas because they couldn't give us a refund because of their previous (listed as #1) negligent mistake.
Normally I don't feel like wasting my time writing a negative review but today was beyond aggrivating. I drove my dad to get 3 pizzas and 2 orders of wings, which were separate orders. Pizzas for my dad and family, wings for my sister and I. This is a 20 minute drive that we took to get there. When we went to pick up our phoned in orders they got all of the pizzas wrong and we had to get them remade. We took the wings home because we had cold food in the car that couldn't wait for the 30 minute ridiculous remake. We would have been fine on our time managament without the staff negligence but sadly they have once again screwed up. We go home and drop off the orders. That is where we find that one of the two orders of wings were cold while the other was hot. That is disgusting, how long was our food sitting out for one to be hot and one cold? The cold one was extremely dry as well. Then we take the 20 MINUTE drive BACK to pick up YET ANOTHER WRONGLY MADE ORDER. There was a specified onion ALLERGY for the pizzas. We checked the order before we left but couldn't see the onions. We found out it had onions when we got home and the person allergic to them ATE the pizza 🙃 But thank you so much for offering 50% off our next 2 pizzas because you couldn't refund this one BECAUSE YOU ALSO SCREWED UP THE PHONE NUMBER ON THE ORDER. Over an hour wasted, multiple errors on the food, unable to take customer information correctly, and tried to kill a family member with an allergy. 50% off 2 pizzas isn't really going to cut it for the continued negligence but that's okay we won't be coming back to take you up on it anyway.
We are no longer giving this location our business. They are delicious when the pizzas are made right but they have consistantly screwed up our orders enough and given so much of a head ache on multiple occassions that it is no longer worth it to order and hope for a 10% chance of a...
Read moreLet's start by just saying it's different. I've never been to a pizza place that was sit down that took your order at the counter. The pizza was ok, better than the cheap chains. Being from Chicago I definitely am a little biased but I would eat here again before going to a different chain. Let's get to the restaurant itself. Once we placed the order we were told 35 minutes for the food. We ordered cheesy bread, ravioli, and an XL pizza, which was a ton of food but we wanted leftovers. The ravioli came out first at about the 15 or 20 minute mark, kinda weird considering the cheesy bread was an appetizer. Also they didn't bring us plates or silverware we ended up asking. The ravioli was decent, like probably about Olive Garden quality. The cheesy bread then came out at about the 25 minute mark. The cheesy bread was good as was the marinara for dipping. The pizza came out as scheduled. The server then noticed we had a bunch of dirty plates and took them bringing us back new ones. The pizza was hot and well cooked. After that no server ever came back to the table. It was definitely busy but they seemed to have at least 10 that I could count and I noticed a lot of times people were standing around talking. I waited to get to go containers at the counter for a solid 5 minutes before someone got them for me and the whole time I saw 2 of the servers in the corner talking. Maybe they were on break but you should probably be out of the customer's view when doing that, it's not a good look. All in all the experience was decent. It's not like I was at G&Gs, Momotaro, or Ruth's Chris Steak House so I wasn't expecting stellar service maybe a little more...
Read moreOk this review is based on a culmination of many visits and or takeout orders. This trip was the final straw. We ordered takeout 2 pizzas and some breadsticks nothing fancy. We were given a pickup time of 20 minutes which was reasonable for a Tuesday evening at 8:30pm. 40 minutes from the time we ordered it was finally ready. I wish I could say this was the fist time that this had happened to us but It happens every time we order. It says on your receipt “time promised” really the phrasing of that should really be ‘loosely estimated’ or ‘wild A$$ guess’ every person in the waiting area was told the exact same thing. Quit propagating lies to your customers please. We get enough of it from politicians.
To top it all off by the time I got home (0.6 miles away) I had a 7 inch long oil stain on the seat of my car corresponding to a box that was only there for 3 minutes!!! For what you are charging could you please at least add an absorbing base in addition to the box? It’s not a groundbreaking new thing. Many places have figured this out already. Pretty sad that much oil has soaked out of your pizza after a failed attempt to be cut just moments before…
EDIT… Low level Barro’s Pizza employee reached out regarding this incident and said that management was sorry to hear about the bad experience and that upper management would surely reach out to me with the contact information they collected. They never reached out in any way. Just goes to show that management doesn’t really care about what goes on. They just have to post something to save face on their...
