Mesquite Fresh Street Mex — Restaurant in Surprise

I received the offer from fresh Mesquite, BOGO chicken taco.I went today 2-11-23 to try them being first time at this restaurant. I told The employee I want 2 chicken tacos.he gave me a plate with rice & beans & two chicken tacos. I assumed rice & beans comes with tacos..cashier said $8.08.I said $8 for one taco? plus of course I got 2nd one free. He said yes.manager was standing near by heard the conversation said you got combo meal.I told him,I never asked for combo & the employee never asked either.the manager could have said that’s fine I can fix it.I could have handed him the plate remove two tacos in another plate & refund $3.39 for the combo. But he never offered me that option.all he said “SORRY” I said the damage is done.I got in my car then I thought about what if the employee didn’t tell me combo comes with a drink.called the restaurant & I asked if it’s the same manger I spoke with 5 minutes ago.? He said yes.I asked him if it came with a drink? He said no.I told him you guys deserve bad review on google base on this experience which I’m going to do when I get home. I asked him 2nd time to see if he thought about the same question.why would employee decide on his own to Give customer combo meal if customer didn’t ask for it? Crickets again.I didn’t get managers name,but he was big guy with glasses.I warned him about bad review.he would rather see bad review about his restaurant he works for instead of fixing the problem before.especially if I Gave him two chances to fix it.who ever hired this manger need to have a talk with him because he’s not acting with best interest of the same restaurant that’s paying him to make sure things are running as smoothly as they should.& to fix them when are they not.that’s his job,which evidently...

I’ve been wanting to try Mr. Mesquite for a long time now, and finally did today.

To start out, I ordered my burrito online so my husband could swing by and grab it while he was out, and the total said $12.79. He called me after he left and told me he got my burrito and mango soda, which I had only ordered a burrito. He then told me the total was $16 and change. I called and spoke with the manager about this, who was very kind and professional— he said someone accidentally added a soda on, on their end, so he refunded for the drink. I’m not a fan of mango, but I’m sure one of our kids will drink it, haha.

On to the burrito— it was FANTASTIC. It tasted super fresh, and the flavor was incredible! Not to mention the size/portions inside were very generous. I got the green and red salsa, and the green was everything I’ve been looking for, for so long 🤤 I’d go back there just to get more of the green salsa and some chips! The red was a little too hot for me, but my husband loved it, and said it’s the perfect combo of heat & flavor. My husband also said the restaurant was very clean and welcoming as well. (Disregard the limes, they didn’t come from here)

There's so many things wrong with this place. Got email from them stating they are offering delivery and of course promo code that you cannot enter anywhere using their website. Ok not a big deal. It's not about about the discount. After ordering food via their website food never came. First time when I called all they could say "We cannot help you with regarding the delivery. We don't deliver. You have to go on our website to see who is delivering for us". They were totally not interested to help me. It like they made the order, got the money and now who cares. Well it says on their website they do deliver but there is no way you can find out who they use. You cannot see it in the email with the receipt. Had to call two more times to find out that they use Door Dash. Upon calling Door Dash they couldn't find my order using my name, phone number, address and order number. But magically they were able to charged me. That part they never get wrong. Door Dash told me to call back Mesquite. Lol. I just called my bank instead and got my money back. This is not the first time my order never arrived when ordering delivery from places who use Door Dash. I actually seen them eating food in the cars...
