Steer clear if you donât drink beer.
Came in for a book fair event, shouldnât have bothered trying a drink.
I donât drink beer and am very picky about my alcohol in general. That being said, I can usually find something to drink if I get more context on the menu (such as what whisky they make their old fashioned out of, etc.). My friend isnât a beer drinker either and we debated whether to get a drink or not. Eventually we decided it would be rude to come just for the books and leave without trying anything.
I asked the employee at the counter if they had any ciders and he told me no in the most patronizing manner possible. Honestly if my friend hadnât already ordered her drink, I would have left right then. Itâs not even a crazy question because my brother has gotten a cider here before.
There was a little back-and-forth about what they offered, where the employee wasnât very helpful. The employee gave the impression that he found my few questions highly annoying and I was dumb for asking them. But the employee also didnât make any suggestions for their non-beer offerings when I said I usually donât like beer (or bitter/sour flavors).
Finally, I noticed that they had a strawberry lemonade listed on the menu without any details on what the ingredients were. When I asked what kind of alcohol was in it, the employee said vodka like I was the stupidest person alive (like they couldnât have used rum or gin or any other possible liquor in that drink).
I came away from the ordering process felling very unwelcome. I most likely wonât be back. I donât really want to be condescended to just because I donât know everything there is to know about beer or their menu offerings. There are other breweries I can go to where Iâm not required to be an expert when I walk...
Read moreThis is the 4th time I've been here and my experience has always been EXCELLENT. The beer is delicious, the atmosphere is exceptional, and the service is perfect.
On this most recent visit, Kayla (bartender) was so knowledgeable and patient with questions.
They have cool themed trivia nights, allow dogs, and have indoor and outdoor seating.
Because they're a brewery and it's Georgia, they don't have a kitchen, but they always have really good food trucks (always pizza, plus some others rotating) and they do everything they can to streamline the ordering experience.
They have plenty of TVs, so it's a great place to watch sports if that's what you're into. But it's also just a great place to hang out with friends.
It's quiet enough to enjoy time with friends, but just loud enough to tune out your extended family's conversation and write a review about how awesome the place is đ
And, for your friends that don't love beer, they have a really good selection of RTD cocktails on draft. And plenty of mocktails:)
It's also family friendly and located in downtown Suwanee. There's even a playground right next to the brewery that has open access from the street and the patio.
Oh, and their patio umbrellas have lights, which is pretty cool.
As for negatives, all I can come up with is that people love this place, so it get here before 6 on weekends to get a seat.
UPDATE: The servers have PERFECT timing on checking on tables and bringing new drinks :) Ethan came just as "We should order another round" was about to come out of my...
Read moreThis place is AWESOME. I was invited to the soft opening yesterday and was completely impressed. The beer is really good and they will apparently have over 15 taps when they are up and running at the grand opening.
Service is great. The employees are friendly and professional. They actually have people talking around with tablets taking drink reorders so that you're not having to stand at the bar and wait with a crowd of people for a refill, and they'll bring your beer to you. I think we all are used to having to deal with the mess of people overwhelming 2 or 3 bartenders in other places, so this is a really great system they have at Still Fire. I cannot emphasize enough how great this system will be when this place gets really crowded.
The atmosphere is fantastic. They have plenty of TVs, tables, seating (indoor and outdoor), ladderball, cornhole, music, etc. The place is very clean and open. They have five garage doors they can open when the weather is good. It's right across the street from Suwanee Town Center.
Lastly, you can purchase their beer to go in two ways: cans and to-go cups. You can get a draft beer (in a plastic cup) and walk around the park with it (Suwanee has an open container allowance policy) as long as it's in the properly labeled plastic cup they give you.
Overall, you can hang out at this place for a couple of hours easily and have a great time. Really glad their is finally a brewery like...
