Mellow Mushroom Suwanee — Restaurant in Suwanee

We love mellow mushroom and the food is always great! The problem with this location is that online ordering I never available anymore and when you try to call you either get put on hold and no one ever comes back to the phone or you call and call and call for no one to ever answer. I understand being busy and short staffed but when I call, get someone on the phone who quotes me an hour for to go orders, then asked to put me on a brief hold and after 10 minutes on hold never picks the phone back up. Then when you call back for 15 minutes, no one ever answers the phone, there is a problem and that problem is not with being busy or short staffed, it's a management problem. My order could have been taken in just a couple of minutes but they were not available to take my money. We drive to this location because it is the closest one to our house but since this is the 5th time this has happened in 3 months, we took our business elsewhere. Needless to say, we were able to place our order with another pizza place and pick it up within 20 min. Very disappointed in the customer service at the Suwanee Mellow Mushroom.

So I visited this restaurant a few months back and gave it top ratings, that has now changed... Around 2:30 today my wife and I stopped in to enjoy a pizza, we waited at the front area to be seated, the restaurant wasn't busy, we saw only one table occupied, a waitress dropped the check off at the table directly in front of us, and asked it they needed 1 or 2 boxes, then walked away not even making eye contact, no hello, welcome, or I'll be right with you...we waited a few minutes and none of the staff approached us so we thought they expected us to seat ourselves. We walked to a booth and remained standing, to be certain we were seen, in the aisle that leads from the kitchen to the outside seating area, one waitress (I assume) walked into the area where the beer is served, not one word spoken towards us. While my wife remained standing at the table while I visited the restroom, when I returned two staff walked around us with a stack of pizza boxes to a bus group that had arrived a few minutes prior, still not one word, after a few more minutes had having had very brief eye contact with three of the staff, and still not one effort made to acknowledge us, we decided to leave. In retrospect I think I should have asked to speak with the manager, however I don't believe I could have been polite at that point as I felt this was absolutely the worst customer service one could imagine, and felt that it's best I choose to not do business with Mellow...

Mellow Mushroom is one of the few places where I truly enjoy pizza and we go for an array of occasions including as a family, with friends, or on a date night. Whether Mellow is super busy or having a quiet night, the staff is always attentive and friendly. With COVID times, they've socially distanced tables and even added an outdoor seating area in the parking lot if you can brave the cold.

Both Whitney in recent visits and Lex going back for years always go above and beyond to make sure we have an enjoyable meal or delicious drinks. Their names are memorable as they both provide service with beaming personalities encouraging my family and friends to come back for more! We've played trivia nights, watching games, and enjoyed everything from bruschetta and pizza to calzones and beer at this location.

At my last visit (actually prompting this review), grabbed drinks with my girlfriend as a congratulatory pat on the back following a walk at the park, and Mellow found my ID that apparently slipped out of my running arm band! They stored it in the safe until I could get back to retrieve it.
