I recently visited PlayTown Suwanee and was thoroughly impressed by its thoughtful design and community-centric atmosphere. Spanning 13,000 square feet, the playground offers distinct areas for toddlers and older children, ensuring age-appropriate play for all. The inclusion of a dinosaur fossil excavation activity area adds an educational twist that my kids absolutely loved. Safety is clearly a priority, with a single entry and exit point providing peace of mind for parents. The lighted pavilion with wheelchair-accessible picnic tables is a considerate touch, making the space welcoming for everyone. The playground’s continuous loop design and accessible features, such as ramps and an inclusive merry-go-round, ensure that children of all abilities can enjoy the facilities. It’s evident that the community’s input was integral to the playground’s redesign, resulting in a space that truly reflects the needs and desires of its users. PlayTown Suwanee is a shining example of what can be achieved when a community comes together to create a space for...
Read moreThe NEW Playtown Suwanee is so awesome. They kept the enclosed feeling, so if you have a runner (young toddler), you can catch him at the only exit/entrance of the playground. The place is covered with part mulch and part rubber like material. The wood material seems to be replaced with plastic/wood like material (not a builder so I don't know the name of it) and it seem better than the old park which was made of wood (which had a lot rot, Carpenter bees and splinters). There is a toddler section, which has the Sand pit which has always been a hit in the old park. The only major down fall of this place that it isn't shaded like the old park. All the trees were cut down around so it is very sunny there. My kids had a fun time but like the old playtown. It's hard to keep an eye on your kids when seated in one spot due to the design of the park. But still highly recommended to check out the...
Read moreWe really love this park and definitely think the park itself is a 5 star location. I love the smaller kid area as that is not common in other parks in the area.
Why three stars? Carpenter bees are literally everywhere. They are super aggressive and it makes going there a bit uncomfortable. I wish they would look into doing something and I could easily change this to 5 stars!!
Edit - evidently the carpenter bee insanity was due to newly laid wood chips. Now there's no problems!! Wonderful park.
Edit 2 - it's June 2 2024 and the new and improved playtown Suwanee is open and better than ever!!! Beautiful transformation and only loses SLIGHT points due to no longer having the amazing shade coverage it previously had. Not enough to cost it a...
