It is true that they have wonderful cakes and pastries however when you make an order over the phone and you make it for a certain time to pick it up, you should not have to stand in a line for one hour waiting to go in the door to pick it up. I know there’s many people that may not place orders, therefore I understand them standing in line. But you should have someone working at the business coming to the door asking every half hour are you here to pick up an order, therefore letting the people that have placed an order, get in and out. Not only did we stand in line for almost 1 hr (and it was very cold) they put the wrong name on the cake. Doesn’t matter how good your product is if you make an appointment for a “certain time”, you should accommodate that customer and they should NOT have to stand in line, 10 minutes maybe but not almost 1 hr. I hope this will help for future situations. And...when I called, I just wanted them to know ofthe situation and the young girl said, “well we’re really busy and understaffed”. I said it doesn’t take much to say “ Does anybody have an order at 12:30 for pick up or does anyone have an order at 1 PM for a pick up“. Therefore actually making your line of customers move quicker”. She didn’t even say goodbye, she just hung up. Not very...
Read moreI ordered a tiramisu cake for my daughter-in-law's birthday. I picked it up at 1:00 the day of the event. The girl behind the counter asked my name and what type of cake. She went in the back and came out with the cake boxed up and ready to go. I really didn't need to look at it because I didn't have anything written on the cake. When I got to the event, we put it in the refrigerator until after dinner. To our surprise when we open the cake it was a vanilla cake with cream cheese frosting. I felt terrible because I knew my daughter-in-law would not eat the cake. And the one piece we did cut was dry, definitely not moist.
The next morning I called the bakery and informed them of the mistake. After being put on hold for a while, being disconnected and had to call back, I was told if I bring the cake back in they would look at it. So I had to go out of my way to go pick up the cake and take it all the way back, very inconvenient. When we got there with the cake, the woman took it in the back to show the baker. She finally decided to refund our money. But there was never an apology or, asked how they could make it right, they actually made us feel like we were a nuisance. I will never order another cake from there again and it's a shame because I always prefer...
Read moreI have been going to this 3 to 4 times month for years. I even go my daughters wedding cake her. I have to say the quality has definitely gone down this past year. I was in last Wednesday and purchased several items including a lb of cookies. The chocolate chip were very soft and definitely under baked but the oatmeal & peanut butter were so under baked they were inedible! Half the box was a crumble of broken cookies. I’m not talking about broken in half but broken in to 5 or. 6 pieces! I came into the bakery around 4:30 pm as I was bringing the cookies to a friends house. Why would you sell cookies that you can’t even pick up ? I thought it was a one time thing but my daughter stopped in yesterday and the same exact thing happened to her. The employees can see that the “cookies” are more like cookie bits than cookies so why not say I’m sorry the oatmeal & PB chip are all broken into pieces, do you still want them? I mean seriously is it that hard?! The Apple turnover was delicious and so were the cream puffs. Please, please start baking the cookies a minute or 2 longer and if they are broken into pieces trash them!!!! Very disappointed and was embarrassed by the cookies I bought for...
