Pizza is good: toppings are in a good proportion, there isn’t too much or too little cheese, it wasn’t greasy and I really liked the crust. Speed and quality of service desperately needs improvement. I ordered through Grubhub, drove down and walked in. I’m the only customer, the woman at the register is on the phone and pizza cook #1 is making a pizza. The cashier gets off the phone, doesn’t acknowledge me, prints out a slip for the cook, still doesn’t acknowledge me, and goes back to doing something on the register. I let another minute pass and say that I have an order to pick up, the cashier looks up at me like she had no idea I was there and asks if I’m Doordash. I tell her I have an order to pick up through Grubhub, she asks me if I paid, (Can you even order from Grubhub without pre-paying?) I say “Yes” and she goes back to doing something on the register. She never gives me any acknowledgment or status of my order and then the phone rings and she’s back on the phone. While she’s on the phone, another customer walks in, a second pizza cook appears from the back, takes a pizza out of the oven, boxes it and just puts it on top of the oven with no attempt to see if the customer is already there waiting for their pizza. Do you see where this is going??? While the cashier is still on the phone trying to take an order (I don’t know if it was her first day, if she’s on drugs, if she just doesn’t care, but she seems truly clueless) additional customers have walked in with the line now being 5 deep. Pizza cook #1 notices this, and comes around to the register to try to help but can’t because the cashier still has the register tied up. She finally finishes doing whatever on the register, and the only employee in the place that seems to have a clue how a pizza shop is supposed to work immediately services the customer I let go ahead of me, and figures out that my pizza’s been sitting on top of the pizza oven for 5 minutes and instructs pizza cook #2 to give it to me. Also of note, the only thing worse for a new business than not having a website is having a website advertised on your menu, and it doesn’t exist. I deliberately waited until they had been open for a month before I tried them and while the pizza is good (seriously don’t change the pizza) everything else (except for Pizza cook #1) about this experience is straight up amateur hour opening day issues that shouldn’t still be happening a month later. I always root for new small businesses, but you’re already failing. What are you going to do when you’re actually busy when you can’t handle 1 customer at 5:30pm on a Saturday?

A bit disorganized, but great food. The people are very nice. The pizza rolls are to die for, pillowy soft and delicious. Marinara sauce on the pasta was super flavorful. We didn't care for the chicken gyro. Prices are sometimes a dollar or two different than on the printed menu. But a MILLION times better than Maldini's (what was there before). I hope they do well and stick around!

New business opened in Swissvale. The pepperoni pizza had good flavor, the extra cheese I paid for , was minimal and the Italian hoagie tasted good as well, however the bread was not toasted. The meat portion on the hoagie was not worth the $15.99 , along with minimal lettuce, tomato and onion.

I got a cheese pizza and breadstick combo, and while I was very satisfied with my meal, there were a few minor issues. I would have liked the cheese to be a little more caramelized, the ash on the bottom of the crust was a little uneven, and the marinara sauce was a little too liquid for my liking. HOWEVER, their excellent service made up for it in my eyes, and most of the issues I had will be resolved with time and experience. They also gave me some sodas for free because of an issue with the register, so that was nice. I look forward to seeing Macro's Pizza in Swissvale for years...

So happy to have a neighborhood pizza place again. We got the 10” cheese with mushrooms and onion. They used fresh mushrooms and red onions which I prefer. It was a little light on the mushrooms but that’s seems to be normal these days. It wasn’t super flavorful so we added garlic powder to it. It wasn’t my favorite but good enough to order again. The pictures on their site look like they cover the crust almost to the end with ingredients this was not the case on our pizza so that was disappointing.

There are no tables or chairs if you plan on waiting but our pizza was ready...
