GoodFellas Restaurant & Tavern — Restaurant in Swissvale

I have been there a few times and always had a great experience. But today was different. My husband loves the chicken parm here. So with it being Father's day we decided to come and enjoy the food. I never want to sound ungrateful but I was very disappointed with the service. We were the only ones in the restaurant part our server Jess was not efficient in anyway. We sat down she didn't greet us ask what we want to drink as she walked away she said what the special was. Got our drinks took our orders and disappeared for a while. We wanted another beer. Waited and waited. Then she delivered our appetizer and my husband's salad, I asked for a beer and she filled the son's soda. She again MIA. I understand she works the bar also but she never checked on us. We felt unwanted. Then after some time my husband's food came out. Mine and our sons didn't. Again she went MIA. We could see she had an order for the bar and filled an ice bucket for the bar. But my Husband ate his whole dinner and we still didn't get ours plus he wanted another beer. We could hear her socializing out in the bar after 15 minutes she appears. I said could my husband please have a beer. She ask you too? I said yes and told the son to get a refill while she was there. She came back with the drinks and said oh your orders ready. OK, my husband has finished his about 5 minutes ago and we're getting ours. We only got wings. My husband had to sit and wait for us to eat. I only eat half of my food because I felt uncomfortable. The minute I stopped eating, Jess came out of no where and said "I'll get your check" why? My son was still eating. You know we wanted to stay and have a few drinks but Jess couldn't wait to get rid of us. I don't understand why we were treated this way. Our bill was over seventy dollars and it would have been more but Jess couldn't wait for us to leave. It was 3 in the afternoon. Why? I wanted to get change to leave a 6 dollar tip because she was a disappointment,but again MIA I couldn't leave her nothing all I had a twenty. She didn't deserve that twenty. I hope the next time Jess isn't our server. My family of 12 love going to Good Fellows when they come in from Florida. We're not afraid to spend money, but we expect good...

My mother thought it would be a great ideas to take me to goodfellas Africa era all the trauma I've just endored and come to find out it just made my day even uglier then it already was. The owner walks past my elderly disabled grandmother and children eating Wendy outside of goodfellas and ask would you bring different establishments food into applebees now I responded yes because you never know what kind of food people like to eat or are elergic to or what there situation may be. So my mother comes out with the drinks and An hour has passed the owner returns outside and starts yelling at us about bring the food and assumer because we are black we would not clean up after our selves. Its so sad for racism to still exist as much as it does. I've never been so humiliated and disrespected by an establishment owner in my entire life as much as I was today. He comes back out and ask the same question but this time he starts yelling and being very rude.My mother had been going there for two years she has always brought family and friends to have drinks. We always have eaten outside and cleaned up after our selves. My mother puts the girls in the car as I go into apologize to the owner for bringing different food and I explain to him why but he doesn't or agree or see my point mind you you are he owner is piss drunk on the job at work yelling at good paying customers we will not be back ever. This is so sad that your that drunk you would yell at women and children at a place of work let alone getting that drunk and out of control.He had a very bad temper and saw no wrong in his actions. People please be very carful about taking your family to such a place where you will not be at peace or able to relax freely. My children waste food all the time so they mother refused to buy the the expensive food at goodfellas ;my grandmother has very bad dental problem so she struggles to eat. The employees are one of the many reasons why I used to go there, but sadly the owner was not pleasant. I had been going there for about two years. I brought my elderly mother who is ill, my daughter and my two grandchildren only to be insulted by the owner. There was no sign stating that food was not to be eaten in that area so I brought food from another restaurant there for my grandchildren because children can be wasteful, so I decided to fill them up with cheap value meals. I was still spending my money there until the owner came out yelling and being rude even when I was trying to be nice. He acted as if we were going to trash the place. I explained to him that we were buying drinks and that the adults were going to order food from them too and he still continued to be rude. I also explained that I was unaware of the no eating policy outside and he still continued to be rude. I had eaten outside there quite a few times and have always cleaned up after myself and my grandchildren! I politely cleaned our area and left without ordering food from them. He got me for my drinking money 😂😂😤 and I would've gotten food and more drinks, sorry I will be spending my money elsewhere!!!!!!! Not to mention I smoke cigarettes and the only place to smoke is...
