UPDATED 11/10/2024: This McDonald's is by far the worst McDonalds I've ever visited! It's even worse than the first time I wrote this poor review. They never pay attention to the front counter. I stood at the front knocking on the counter for a bit to get someone's attention. When that didn't work, I had to yell into the back for a manager. She finally gave me my order, which of course was incorrect so I had to go back in. The night manager was rude and blamed me, saying I ordered incorrectly. However, I know I ordered correctly because it was just a repeat order on the app that the day shift fulfilled correctly the time before. In addition, while standing there I observed several other customers waiting for their food (over 20 minutes) and one customer who had to come inside because they never ran his order out to him at curbside pickup.
WARNING: This McDonald's has really gone downhill! It has gone from my favorite McDonald's to my least favorite. The food is hit or miss (mostly miss), the service is usually sub-par at best, and it seems like the staff there really hate their job.
There is never anyone working at the front counter. I usually have to wait a while until someone finally notices me. When someone is working at the front, I am generally met with terrible customer service. The last time I went in, the kid working in the front walked around at the same pace and emotional state as Eeyore. He never looked at me once, never smiled, and I could hardly hear what he was saying as he mumbled. I could hear two staff members in the back talking to each other more than him as one of them constantly complained about her job the whole time. And I could go on and on with my bad experiences, unfortunately. I keep giving this location a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. try just hoping it will get better because it is the closest Mcdonald's to my house, but it seems to be getting worse.
The food generally tastes like it has been sitting under a heat lamp all day. However, the cheeseburger typically has cold cheese (not melted like other McD's), messy ketchup that seems to be everywhere on the wrapper yet hardly on the burger, and a bun that tastes stale. In addition, they get my order wrong A LOT!
I've been wanting to write a review on this McDonalds for a while, but I don't like writing such negative reviews, so I kept giving it additional chances to improve. Unfortunately, this McDonalds has not given me anything positive to compliment.
I hope this McDonald's gets a massive overhaul with its customer service and food! The staff could benefit from a lot of customer service training. Management could say that it's hard to get good help right now, yet I just left a 5-star rating with Chick-fil-A because they are killing it at the customer service game. Read moreI usually give the benefit of the doubt to reviews and post higher than I should. Walk with me during my trip around building to park. Maybe 3 cars in drivethue at this time in morning. I head inside to use restroom and wash hands. I barely get in foyer and slip on what? Water? Soap? Not raining this morning so...I didn't fall but wow what an entrance I made. I walked through lobby looking at floor now noticing how dirty it was Asif it was left from the week prior. I made it safely to restroom where I pushed inward the door and paper pieces were scattered. I enter stall and check for toilet paper before sitting kind of on alert now. What else could go wrong.? I finish and wash hands and head to lobby to order. I asked if it was still breakfast time and crew member said yes to breakfast. I, unfamiliar with a breakfast menu look up to see no breakfast items pictured or promoted. Just big mac, fish and chicken. So I order what I remember they have, the McMuffin meal with coffee. Crew did try the upsell approach wonderfully but I declined saying I didn't have time to drink the medium, knowing the coffee is extremely hot to begin with. She asked if I needed cream or sweetener. I again go for 2 creams because coffee is known to be too hot to drink right away. She put that in for me totalled order , received payment, made change and handed me my receipt. Went back to assemble order and brought my bag of goodies to me. Did I say I was staying? No? That's right I wasn't asked one way or the other. I also didn't say it either so I grabbed my bag and found a clean table for one. The tables in lobby did look their best and I sat, opened my sandwich, placed my hashbrown on wrapper and uncovered coffee (to cool). I went for a small cup of catchup and the top of pump was broke or damaged slightly and clotted with tomato remnants. I sat here typing all this with a nice hello from the person cleaning lobby at the time. Temperature inside is comfortable but at my age could use a sweater.One might think with only two of us sitting in lobby someone had time to mop some. I am ready to go. Read moreI will not be coming back to this location. I waited twenty minutes for my iced coffee. I went through the app and ordered it with no liquid sugar. I had to come into the dining room to get my coffee. The girl hands it to me and I ask her, "this doesn't have liquid sugar, right?" She straight up lies to me and says, "It doesn't." It had liquid sugar in it. I was dumb enough not to taste it and I took her word for it. Halfway home I take a sip and realize that it has liquid sugar. I go back in and tell her and she says, "I am sorry. I didn't know." If you didn't know then why did you tell me there wasn't any in it? Called later to point out that the app didn't give me my points and told them I wasn't happy about my coffee earlier and the guy says, "well, if you go on the app, you have to say no syrup." No, no that's bull. I went to iced coffee on the app. It's even in my receipt. Not sugar free or vanilla or caramel. I customized my coffee not to have liquid sugar. There is nowhere on the app that says "no syrup". Just admit you goofed up. I don't like people trying to gaslight me and I hate being lied too.
