Johnny Chan 2 - Harper's Point — Restaurant in Symmes Township

This place is nice looking. The meat is very very poor quality., I went once and was convinced it was NOT chicken. After 12 years later I gave it another try! (my normal place was closed )so, I gave it another try. I ordered a beef dish. Wasn’t going to ever try the chicken again. The meat was inedible. It had the consistency of intestines, tendon and was fatty and weird. My husband tried to eat one piece and spit it out. It was either bi-parts Not normal select meat. I believe they buy gristle and cheap parts people normally don’t sell for consumption., The vegetable egg roll had no observable vegetables except onion. It was dough and filler. Maybe corn meal? Hi Carbs , no taste horrible. The chicken noodle soup was a bowl with A mound of noodles (cheap), barely any soup and tasteless. I could not as a human eat the “beef”. I brought the waitress over and showed her EVERY PIECE of (intestine?) She brought the chef out who repeated “ it’s beef” it is “beef”. The more he said that the more I questioned it. The waitress said that “all people like ut, and I’m the first to complain”. The chef put a piece in his mouth chewed and chewed and chewed and almost choked it down “!!🤣🤣🤣 I got my money back came home and saw all the other complaints!! Terrible service! Many people who came in after us got their food. Then they brought the dishes out separately with a good 10 minutes between. My sister was pretty much done with her food by the time mine came out. I think in total it took almost an hour for four of us to get our food. The food was OK but mine was bland. The prices are ridiculous. I paid $20 for shrimp and broccoli because I added extra onions to which they charged me four additional dollars. Price on the website said the cost was around $13 for the dish but in reality it is $16. That's $20 without even a drink or tip added in! ( I drank water). Never again. I can pay half of that for excellent take out food. The only good thing about Johnny chance was that excellent buffet they used to have. And that's gone now. Do not recommend...

My mom and I go here occasionally for dinner as it's pretty close to where we live in Blue Ash. The decor of the restaurant is nice and inviting. Comfortable. The sevice is wonderful the chef does his dishes very quickly but wonderfully prepared. I am mainly into the spicier dishes and I have to say I Absolutely love the spicy sauteed beef.. I've always know it as Scechwan shredded beef..but they do a really impressive version of this dish.. it's really delicious.. I'm a huge fan of Orange beef their chefs is very good.. I have to admit I actually prefer it with the dry fried orange peels.. but that's me.. The dishes are well priced and the portions allow you to leave full..
