Update for October 31, 2024 It appears the management has changed as the management seems to be racist and she invited all her friends as it was 98% colored and two whites. The parking lot security camera stand, that flashes the bright blue light, and cameras were moved directly next to Tacoma Mall Blvd next to the entrance/exit So the view of the recording device would be hardly anything but the parking where not many would park. WE thought the security cam on the front of the building worked. Management said it didnt. The reason we asked, is our window was busted and my kids bag was taken. It is odd, that there was two homeless walking round the place. A woman with a bag, a roll of copper wire on top. The guy, her friend was also walking around looking in dumpsters. When we discovered the window being busted, we contacted management. Her concern was nothing. We had to call the cops. We reported the homeless. Yet there was some colored guys standing out side smoking. They seemed to be like Urkle and had no clue. While waiting for Tacoma PD to show up, and they didi not follow protocol, we left. Management did not come to our vehicle that was the only one 40 feet from the front door. She just got in her vehicle with no concern to us and left.
If you think you would have safety to your vehicles in the parking lot, you dont. We were even parked under a light post.
This management cares less about how the food is prepared or even the salad bar. The Salad Bar is 12$ and good ol tax. The vegetation was rusty colored edges, the manager brought a 5 gallon bucket to add more rusty colored salad. The bucket had a lot of liquid, at the bottom. It looked like she was pulling from a swamp. The rest of the salad bar held pickles, olives, cheese that looked dried out, and mostly disturbing was the potatoe salad was none. The whole 3 hours we were there, the potato salad container was empty. The ranch dressing was empty.
When we got the pizza, the crust was dried out, and the topping was scarce of much of anything.
Halloween costume contest was stupid. The kids were awarded whistles and stickers. there was no formal contest as to who got the best response from the crowd.
We saw a monthly payment offer. If you paid so much you can play any day any time as much as you want at no additional costs. There was more to it and before we attempted to pay, the management stated, "If you dont come here much, it would be expensive over ...." and pretty much pushed us away, seeming she didnt want us there.
The store had a really nice manager before this african lady took place. We saw the employees bring out your pizza and tended to you well mannerred and caring. The salad bar was never looking like what I saw Halloween night. The pizzas tasted better, and the contest was nice enough that we hoped it would be the same.
When the whistles were awarded this time, the kids went around whistling away. It was so annoying, the parents took them away quickly. Chucky when he came out used to toss tickets out every time he came out. It was not entertaining. Especially when we had to deal with a busted window and a careless manager.
It seems the manager set it up so who ever busted our window would not get in trouble. Moving the security trailer to the street so it had zero coverage. If I was manager over her, she would be out the door. There is zero professionalism in her actions. She didnt smell too well either. I feel sorry for who ever has to wear Chucky Cheese costume.
Will it stop us from coming? No, but we will call to see if she is working there and we will have a cam set up in their parameter focusing on our vehicle.
Great for the kids year around. After going several times and changes came. Chucky cheese has become a very enjoyable place for kids and adults. Prices are fair and quality of foods have gained amazingly well. Im 57 and youngest is 6 today and we are all smiles. Great job Chucky Cheese...
Read moreWe had my son's birthday party here yesterday and it was an absolute hit! It was SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than everywhere else as they don't charge entry for the adults. They do the complete table setup and tear down so that's one less thing for you to stress about! They have everything timed out for when the food comes, when ChuckE comes to sing, I went one tier up in the birthday package and it offered all the kids endless play for the 2 hours, plus while we cleaned up the wrapping and the toys the birthday boy gets a card that doesn't expire for 165 plays! So he was able to go around and play a couple more. They always had someone at the gate and if you leave with a kid you need to have the matching stamp and it's only seen with a glow light which is so smart. The drinks were also endless refills, the kids keep the cups forever and can bring them again. Easily upgraded our pizza to a large and it wasn't much more. All the kids also get dippin dots. So many games, all of them were even working. The ticket payout isn't great but, at least for us, it's more the experience of playing for my son that he cares about. Plus being the birthday boy he got a bonus 1000 tickets which was a ton. He ended with 4516 but only because his cousins gave theirs to him. 2 hours was the max birthday time but they didn't rush us AT ALL, which was so incredibly kind. I completely understand having to get out for the next party but multiple times the host said it's okay and not to rush. I truly felt welcomed and like I could relax. I wish I remembered our hosts name because she was amazing and so so kind! They even cut the cake, passed out the cake. I mean I was actually able to relax and enjoy myself and didn't have to focus on running the party. Seriously 10/10 and I would do it again in a heartbeat! I understand it's not the greatest area around the building but they have no control over that and have safety measures implemented. Thank you to our host for everything!!! My son had an...
Read moreWe were there a few weeks ago and I was totally shocked. Other Chuck e Cheeses are great, like the Bellevue one. When we were in Tacoma we thought we would have the same experience. Boy, were we wrong. First off, there were rotten banana peels in the parking lot next to my car. Went inside and the place was totally overcrowded. Huge lines just to order pizza, etc. We ordered two pizzas, salad bar and 4 sodas. While waiting for our pizzas, we realized we had been waiting for well over an hour. My husband went to ask for our pizzas and a woman came out with some random pizza. I asked when our next one would be up and she looked at me, totally clueless and said, “oh, you had another one?” So the single pizza we received was burnt to a black crisp. I took it up to complain and others were there as well, saying they had waited for hours and their pizzas were burnt as well. The manager was trying to juggle all of the customers complaints and get his staff moving but honestly most of them were standing around chatting and doing nothing. The manager promised we would have both pizzas out within 30 minutes. Then my son had to use the restroom. My husband said feces was smeared on the wall in the men’s room. I also witnessed a customer change her baby on the table and leave the poopy diaper wrapped up on the table and walk out. The kids were literally trying to break the rides by hanging on them and no adult seemed to care. The customer base in this location seemed to not care about their kids at all, frankly. Another hour+ went by and still no food. We realized we had been there for over 4 hours with nothing to eat and my son was tired and miserable. I requested a refund, which I received, and left. I’ll never return to this...
