DXL Big + Tall — Local services in Tacoma

I like the clothes they sell and the fact they'll tailor anything. But honestly? Not super impressed. The guys who help you pick out clothes are super pushy and don't seem to care about what you want, your budget or the date you need things by. The guy that was helping me brought things way out of my budget and the ugliest shirts not even close to what I asked for. He also never brought me a jacket to look at like I asked and ended up leaving for the day without saying anything! (Brent)

Then the next guy I asked questions for, tall, older and grey straight up ignored me and tried to get me to spend way more than I needed to. I liked a shirt they had but they were out of my size so I asked (on Brent's suggestion) for them to order it for me which was like $7 shipping and this guy tried to push me for $45 alterations and finally huffed with a "I guess" when I said I just wanted to order it.

So we go to the counter with my pants and order my shirt, $100 spent. I needed the shirt in 3days so I paid for the one day shipping. I called to check on it and to the day of the event THE SHIRT WAS NEVER SHIPPED! So they have me credit on that shirt and a $5 gift card.. for what? A button? I ended up walking out with a shirt I didn't even want last second and it even made me late to the event.

I'm not impressed. The girl who managed the returns was nice but overall that was not a professional experience at all.

1st experience & now we are lifelong customers!!!! Everything about this experience was beyond great from the online purchase for curbside on how great the products and prices were to how easy it was to make the purchase for a store pickup. The customer service online and in store was superb, friendly, knowledgeable, and very pleasant to deal with while troubleshooting through a small problem we had because we bought the wrong size online and had to pickup in store. That experience alone they made smooth and easy for us to exchange in store and was very helpful to size my husband up. The quality of clothes and style is definitely greater than most stores in the mall. Most of all, i loved how this store was made for big and tall men and made my husband feel comfortable to shop and have unlimited choices for him to shop through. The service here was excellent. Two women and a young man helped me from start to finish in selecting a properly fitting suit, alterations, multiple shirts and ties. Unfortunately, I do not remember their names. A young african American woman had a clear passion for customer service and it really made this shopping experience excellent.

The prices are high although that meets my expectations. They stock high quality clothing and a lot of it. It's also specialized clothing.
