Cutters Point Coffee — Restaurant in Tacoma

Extremely dissapointed with the service! Usually I go to the Kent/Des Moines Cutters Point by the Fred Meyers, and have always received the upmost and respectable customer service. They used to have something like a “secret menu” on the counter with about 30 drinks on it they could make, and they would make them all no questions asked! I went to this location in Tacoma since it’s closer to my house, and asked them to make a chocolate dipped strawberry frappe and they didn’t seem to know what it was. As I work in food service, had they said straight up that they had no idea how to make it, as I realize “secret menus” are, well, secret, I would have gladly picked something off the actual menu. No big deal! I like many things there. However they said they would try their best and I told them it’s only strawberry frappe and add mocha sauce or chocolate, and showed them the menu that had been one ar the Kent store, and even if it wasn’t exactly how the other Cutters makes it, I would be satisfied because the ingredients were simple and I know what it’s like to work in food service. As they were making it I heard them talking jokingly about how to possibly go about making it as if they found it amusing someone would order something off a “secret menu” and know how to make it! When they put my drink up and called it the “chocolate dipped strawberry frappe” it didn’t look to have any chocolate mixed in, and when I tried it...it was a plain strawberry smoothie. No coffee or chocolate! You know, I work food service, I would have been fine with having been told they don’t know how to make it, and I would have had no problem ordering something else as I’m not too choosy, but if I’m told you will try to make it, have a good attitude about making it, and don’t blatantly LIE TO MY FACE when you put the drink up and call it chocolate dipped ANYTHING frappe if there’s not one drop of chocolate or coffee in it! Just call it a strawberry smoothie then and call it what it is, or be honest about your inability to make it from the beginning! Never coming back to this store. I’ll drive to the Kent store 30-45 minutes from my house where they have pleasant attitudes, and are actually qualified to work there...so...

My GF and I went in and purchased over $15 worth of coffee and pastry as the drive up was quite full hence the walk in. We waited and waited and waited all the while the staff of ladies hosted the drive thru until they were caught up and finished completely. THAN and ONLY than did they attempt to make our two drinks and another lady who came in directly behind us.. THAT is when we got our drinks... Most deplorable service I have ever encountered and than.. no a single "THANK YOU for your Patience" .. Nothing. They hand the coffee and say NOTHING! and to top it off when we pulled in the Lady Tacoma Police officer had her car backed into TWO spots so your couldn't park. Great PLACE NOT!! COffee wasn't even HOT! Pumpkin scones were like cardboard and hay. DRY! We just put them in our lunch room microwave. JEEZ! I wouldn't go back here if you paid me or gave...

Very inconsistent. I been there in the past and would get sometimes good coffee and sometimes not so I stopped going. I went a few weeks ago in the afternoon as a friend wanted to meet there and my latte and vanilla bean smoothie was excellent!! Came back a few days later in the morning hours and my latte was horrible tasting. Decided to go a 3rd time in the afternoon because I've had good experience at that time of day and my latte was just ok...but the vanilla bean smoothie had large chunks of either vanilla bean or coffee and it was not good tasting at all. The first time smoothie was not like that at all. It would be nice to have some consistency. Especially on the smoothie! I can understand coffee as some people are great at making it and some aren't. It will be awhile before I give them...
