This church helped when there was no one else to help me. They great respect for each individual person and are willing to hilt those who aren’t even members. When natural disasters occur, this church spends hundreds of thousands of dollars to provide immediate needs like clean water, food and cleaning supplies. In addition members jump in to help people clean up and salvage the things that can be salvaged. Some members travel with the trucks with supplies to lend their hands with clean up. They provide essential needs for refugees to help them get started with many items donated from members. They’ve made thousands of hygiene for displaced and homeless people, and provide items for the homeless to stay warm in winter. They work with other charities and Christian churches to provide what is needed wherever there is need. They work with community cleanup and beautifying projects and special olympics to do whatever is needed. I know this because I have been involved in many of these projects myself. I am not ashamed to say that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. If people have had a bad experience in this church I am sorry, but the people of the Church are not perfect, and don’t claim to be. We are all working to be a little better today than we were yesterday. We are all in a different place on the road to becoming better people who are kind and considerate to others who are not as far along that road. The whole church cannot be judged by a few people, nor can any any group of people. We are on this road of life together and I believe we are here to help each other along the way with the blessing God has given each of us. We all have special talents, some are not visible or praiseworthy according to the world today, but whatever our talent is, it is given to us to help others...
Read moreWhy can't 0 stars be an option? Oh wait, Google Maps won't allow you to. If you're looking for a church to attend or moved into Tacoma and/or University Place, please learn more about it, because this church and all of their locations are not Christian churches. I was using NL Church Online on YouTube due to COVID-19. I was looking for a different church while doing online and heard of this one during my walk at Chambers Bay. I was told a month into me attending here that coffee is against Christianity... Wait, what? If you're a real Christian, you'd know that there is no such thing. The Mormons say that it is, but it isn't. Then told me that I should be in a dress. Again, if you're a real Christian, there is no dress code as long as you dress nicely. Please choose your church carefully and don't go here. I ended up learning that the hard way. I have left since and will find a different path to faith as a Christian. I strongly recommend Dove Christian Center for those looking for a church. They're very caring to their Christians and they're very well kept. Or you can do it online. But seriously, choose your audience carefully and stop trying to manipulate everyone into having the same faith! A real Christian would never do that. The Church of Jesus Christ at Latter-Day Saints patronizes hate to Christians. Again, don't go here if you're a...
Read moreAs a member of the church is very distressing to hear how my daughter was treated by missionaries while she was at work! We both work at WinCo on 6th avenue, last night she had a group of missionaries come in and tell her that she should not have done if I as a boy! Even though she's wearing her pronouns as she/her, they kept telling her she should not do this she should not do that! She asked them to stop that it was an inappropriate place to talk to her about things like that and they refused! They will have security call on them next time! This is not the way the church is or should not be the feelings of each individual person is their own but for people to go out and continually tell people how to be and what to be is not the message of the church. Jesus talk everyone love one another as I have loved you! Not love one another if you conform to a certain way. This is what has pushed me and my family away from the church because people come in to our lives and tell us that we have to live a certain way and that we can't love those who that we love. Thank you for being bullies it's greatly appreciated to know that you're teaching your Young generation...
