Most delicious chicken strip basket with gravy has been stuck in my mind for the last month or so since I've been back to DQ. Found myself in that part of town today and was happy that it was still only 10:30 p.m. i even oulled into the parking lot and got on my phone to doublt check that at this location (30th & Pearl) the drive thru stayed open til 11 p.m. every night... And i know this to be the case bc the last time i was there for the delicious chicken strip basket it was a weekday at like 1050 p.m. Well this time even the light up drive thru/open sign was dark, i pulled into a dark drive thru and continued to sit in disbelief as a checked my watch and phone to make sure it hadn't somehow passed 11p.m. without me realizing. Nope, still 1030-1045 p.m. sat in front of the speaker i asked aren't u guys open in the drive thru til 11? No one ansered but they were there because the side back door was propped open and as i drove thru the dark empty lonely looking drive thru i of course crept by the cashier's window and saw a girl cleaning a machine or closing something down in plain view of the drive thru window. I tried to get her attention for an explanation why she had obviously closed at least half an hour early but she actually dropped down and slunk away like she was hiding from me! I am reducing my previous 5 star rating to 3 stars its a total pet peever for me when fast food restaurants close early because we have all been there working fast food at some point in our lives but nothing is as dissapointting as having your heart set on a chicken strip basket with gravy and having to slum it at jack in the box bc the DQ employees just had to close...
Read morePlaced a mobile order, checked my order before I left and found I was missing items. Had to go through the drive thru to tell them they were missing because you cant go inside. They told me I wasn't charged for the items, when it was clearly on my receipt. Drove up to window to show them and they begrudgingly decided they would give me the items(extra toast). Saw them bagging toast and asked if it was 4 slices(2 meals that both had extra), no it was only 2. Had to show my receipt again to prove I had 2 meals that I paid extra for. Before he walked away I mentioned that I paid 50 cents for some lettuce on my burger and didnt get any and would like some. (My burger was without a bun because I am gluten free). Came back a few minutes later with a bag that he said had 4 slices of toast and the lettuce. Got home to find they had throw the lettuce on top of the toast, hence contaminating it with gluten. Woman also walked out of the back just to look at the drive thru window(at me). Because they probably were complaining in the back everytime they went back there that I actually wanted what I paid for. Ordered at 928pm, they don't close till 10. Was in the drive thru at 939pm and they were already telling people the kitchen was closed. I will drive out of my way to go to a different Dairy Queen to avoid the closing crew at this restaurant in the future. Read moreMe & my wife just went thru the drive thru, everything was good greated properly by employee, ordered our meal & sundaes but notice a sense of tune in the employee voice i ordered a meal ask for large & employee said anything else with your order but it felt like i was being rushed to decide on what else i wanted to order then preceded to order another item but employee said ill have your total at the window..also noticed there wasn't any other customers behind me.. Trying to figure out why i was being rushed!!! We get to the window employee said our total. She did the transaction then she instructed me to pull forward to an empty stall... Waited a few minutes.. Then another employee brought out our order... We get home cause we are only minutes away...low an behold our order wasn't completed i ordered a combo meal large. But got a medium drink & a small French fries hardly any fries.. But ordered a large also wasn't given any straws or napkins or anything for our sundaes.. Think the dairy queen employees need training on customer service & not rush the customers on ordeering... Also the meal i ordered wasn't made properly looked like it was rushed... Center of my meal was not cooked properly...i'm sorry not going back to that establishment lost...
