Kandle Pool — Local services in Tacoma

Love this pool but lifeguard are bully-like. Now beyond that It's prolly the best in Tacoma. I always bring my daughter here and her friends & family. We always have a great time. I would give 5 stars but there is one issue. Some of the lifeguards have very bad attitudes, not friendly at all. My daughter was given a bad look and a shake of the head for no reason she was just walking into the pool, both the guys and girls are very nasty when they tell u to not do something or stay of the rope. My nephew was having a hard time and was asking for help while in the water and no one paid attention just ignored him thank goodness his brother was close by and pulled him up and towards the entry of pool..the other staff is great and friendly. But lifeguard no, and for what reason...

I went back and forth between 3 and 4. Super fun, cute place for kids to play. I like that they have 3 different options to play. A little concerning how many kids I saw go under in the wave pool. You have to make sure you're watching your little ones super close when the waves start. The reason I gave this 3 stars is because of 3 reasons.

1. We came to the late session and it didn't make a lot of sense to me that they don't check people in and start a new line so that everyone can make there way in at 5:30. We stood in line until about 5:45. They may have their reasoning this is just a customer point of view.
2. There was people smoking in the grass area. I found that really odd with so many kids playing.

This is a very nice public pool. It is clean and well staffed. It reminded me of the old school neighborhood pools from the 60’s. There are plenty of lounge chairs, tables with umbrellas and seating for families. There is a wonderful splash zone area next to the pool, as well as a baby pool for little ones. The main pool features waves that are on a timer and a beach entrance to the pool with a gradual slope. This pool also offers complimentary life vests and multiple lifeguards on duty. Light snacks are available to purchase as well. We had a lot of fun there and enjoyed the extra details such as the giant water bucket that fills up and spills, stationary water guns and fountain sprays to play in. It is...
